Dude I feel exactly the same - the original tracks were epic as it is and then I heard some of the remastered versions and it was like I was experiencing them for the first time on a new level. I run to a decent amount of ffx soundtracks both original and remastered - some of the remastered tracks are trash but this is prob one of the best ones

Sounds like the 2nd violin players are getting a serious case of RSI. Luckily for them it's a synthesizer. Somehow this arrangement also reminds me of Karl Jenkins. Oh right, the RSI inducers!
