    This has to be the best video I have seen about decorating washers. Hadn't thought of using rubons, wonder if peel off's would work.....I realise they won't be as flat but think the Mod Podge would still cover the. Just need to find some washers xx

    They turned out really pretty. It is hard to find a favorite.

    Definitely one of the best tutorials I've seen. The results are fantastic. It would be hard to pick a favorite, but if pressed, I'd have to go with the black and with the powder blue, in particular the sunflower on blue. It's great that you tell us what you used on these.

    Had not thought of using temp tattoos. Have been looking for a craft project I could do with my daughter and her friends and this is perfect. Great video!!

    This look so great!! I was wondering, instead of spray paint, can you use acrylic paint instead? Would the stickers, rub ons, etc still work with the acrylic paint?

    Love your necklaces but let me ask you what would make the modge podge dimensional magic I used on my washer necklace not have cured clear but milky? I only did one and was so upset that it did not dry clear but stayed milky.

      @thestampingduo3925  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michele L I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t dry clear. Maybe you can contact the Mod Podge company and see if maybe you bought a bad batch or something. We haven’t made any more necklaces since we originally made this video(years ago!), but I found my old bottle and tried using it this morning, and it still dried shiny and clear. The Mod Podge contact info on the bottle is: Plaid Enterprises, www.plaidonline.com , (800)842-4197. Hope they can answer your question!

    How much do you charge for a craft fair

    • @thestampingduo3925
      @thestampingduo3925  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dana Heatley We sold them for $4.00 each (in 2014). We probably could have charged more, but since it was at a school craft fair, we wanted to keep it affordable so kids would buy them.

      Thank you for your interest, but sorry, we don't have any more to sell. We originally made these to sell at a school craft fair and did very well/sold out.

    12/13/17 We received a comment from JoJo but accidentally deleted it when we tried to reply to it. Sorry JoJo!!JoJo asked if liquid resin would work. Our reply: We aren’t familiar with liquid resin so it’s possible it may work, but we don’t know. If anyone has tried using liquid resin, or any other products that worked well, we welcome any input.

    Your pendants are beautiful, but I have to tell you that when I tried this I had a lot of problems. My first coat of spray paint was a disaster and had to be soaked off in acetone. I used Rustoleum gloss spray paint. After a successful spray painting, I had a lot of difficulty getting the rub ons to adhere. I had to switch to nail art stickers. I finished making them so that the supplies didn't go to waste, but I wouldn't do it again...Not fun. I make jewelry from coins, and even that is easier and more satisfying.

    will nail polish work will tattoos do ok on it

    • @thestampingduo3925
      @thestampingduo3925  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I experimented for you, and yes, the tattoos stick. The nail polish is not as smooth and even as the spray paint, but this would be a good alternative if you have the cracking issues with the spray paint. Have fun!

    • @thestampingduo3925

      The fender washers are 1&1/4 inches in diameter with a 1/4 inch hole. However, you can use whatever size washers you like.
