The Stamping Duo

Welcome to The Stamping Duo Channel! We are a mother and daughter team who live ordinary lives (going to school/work) by day, and battle boredom and lack of creative mojo by night. We love scrapbooking, card making and basically anything fun and creative.
We hope our videos will be fun and unique and show you how to be crafty on a budget. I am a mother of three, with my two older kids in college. The other half of our creative duo is my youngest daughter Allie. She is twelve years old and will be in seventh grade in the Fall. She is the video and technical expert between the two of us and she also loves arts and crafts. We thought that starting a TH-cam channel would be a fun project for us to do together now that her older sisters are in college. We are very new to this, so bear with us on this new adventure!

Tuesday Morning Haul & Card Share/Demo
We went to Tuesday Morning on 2/18/16 and found a few things (mostly craft related). We also shared some cards that we made using the Pebbles Chips and we assembled a quick card (starts around 8:10 if you want to fast forward). Enjoy!
**Edited to add: I was at Target today and couldn't find the Scotch pop up squares that we used on our card. I'm not sure if they're discontinuing them (gasp!!). This has to be the best video I have seen about decorating washers. Hadn't thought of using rubons, wonder if peel off's would work.....I realise they won't be as flat but think the Mod Podge would still cover the. Just need to find some washers xx
How much do you charge for a craft fair
Dana Heatley We sold them for $4.00 each (in 2014). We probably could have charged more, but since it was at a school craft fair, we wanted to keep it affordable so kids would buy them.

Love your necklaces but let me ask you what would make the modge podge dimensional magic I used on my washer necklace not have cured clear but milky? I only did one and was so upset that it did not dry clear but stayed milky.
Michele L I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t dry clear. Maybe you can contact the Mod Podge company and see if maybe you bought a bad batch or something. We haven’t made any more necklaces since we originally made this video(years ago!), but I found my old bottle and tried using it this morning, and it still dried shiny and clear. The Mod Podge contact info on the bottle is: Plaid Enterprises, www.plaidonline.com , (800)842-4197. Hope they can answer your question!

what size is the washers
The fender washers are 1&1/4 inches in diameter with a 1/4 inch hole. However, you can use whatever size washers you like.

Our reply: We aren’t familiar with liquid resin so it’s possible it may work, but we don’t know. If anyone has tried using liquid resin, or any other products that worked well, we welcome any input.

This look so great!! I was wondering, instead of spray paint, can you use acrylic paint instead? Would the stickers, rub ons, etc still work with the acrylic paint?

Thank you for your interest, but sorry, we don't have any more to sell. We originally made these to sell at a school craft fair and did very well/sold out.

I experimented for you, and yes, the tattoos stick. The nail polish is not as smooth and even as the spray paint, but this would be a good alternative if you have the cracking issues with the spray paint. Have fun!

Sometimes it's just luck, but a few weeks after major holidays your chances improve. Also, if someone posts a video that they found some grab bags, check your store right away to see if they have any. Good luck!
