Oh I'm definitely doing this to our old family Wii when I go home for Christmas! The poor thing can boot up but it can longer read discs. I hope to get Skylanders working again somehow so we can all play it together for old time's sake
I have ended up with 3 Wiis. I only purchased 1 and it just came bundled with a "broken as-is" lot. All 3 fully functional when acquired. Modded the first one, was the best choice I made for it. It's the second easiest console I've modded. An absolute must.
@@girlmaya6818 If I had to guess, either the 3DS or the PS Vita. The 3DS was prettyeasy for a while, and the PS Vita just requires a website and then you're done
@@girlmaya6818 Cublex got it right. PS Vita and New* 3DS LL. All regions, you open the browser, press a button, and it's already trying to load Custom Firmware. Instant access to everything the handhelds have to offer. The New 3DS has some awful timing you need to match, but you can just keep retrying.
I love fluidity, my parents only got the demo and we never really got too many Wii Shop points though, so I only got past a few of the levels. We did have the full World Of Goo though.
World of Goo is also fantastic. I also never had the full version of Fluidity as a kid - I played through the demo about 1000 times and only played the full version later in life. Just beat it (for the first time weirdly) today!
Didn't expect to go from a Pictobits video being the way I found your channel into finding your latest vid being a banger witj the classic Wii Still, really cool stuff with the way you presented it - I don't think I would be able to get my hands in fresh consoles like this for now so itsyneat to see someone else show this old process.
@@Cublex And if you really scour around you can find them extremely cheap. I took a gamble with a couple untested Wiis from eBay about a month ago and was able to get them for under $20 a piece with cords and other accessories, both being fully functional. It's not unheard of to find them for like $5-10 sometimes at yard sales and thrift stores too.
I don't know, it was there when we moved into the house. I want to find something funny to cover it with because this is a pretty good set location otherwise
*people in 2008* "OMGG YOU HAVE A MODDED WII?!?!?" *people in 2024* "OMGG YOU HAVE A STOCK WII?!?!?"
I have 3 stock wiis lol they are modded except for one
ayyyy nice, you gonna brew it'?
@IsaacPadilla-v4hwhy not? it’s so easy and it allows you to do things like bring back wiiconnect24 or play games directly through usbs
@IsaacPadilla-v4h Why wouldn't you mod it?
@IsaacPadilla-v4h make sure you get a Wii that has GameCube controller ports - some Wiis don't (like mine)
I love how the editing is satisfying and modern but the recording couldn't be more classic. Just a camera at some screens. Love it!
I really appreciate you for this, the editing is something that I really focus a lot on

this'll work, just make sure you give it a good sized sd card to hold all your games on

@@Cublex Good guess. Wii has 2 main methods, and both are very simple. Scary looking, but simple.

10/10 ending
The blue disc slot light freaked me out as a kid. apparently when it does that, there's a notification in your pinboard.

Just bought a Wii on Friday for this very purpose
congrats! and enjoy! and play Fluidity, it's good
Should’ve gotten the original white wii so you can watch movies
modding the wii is one of the best things you can do with your free time. the main reason why the wii is better than the nintendo switch
to be fair to the Switch, my Switch is also hacked
Switch hacking is very fun! Although this is probably just my hyperfixation on console modding talking LOL
w firefox
so now, PSP and Wii U then PS Vita then Ps2 then xbox Classic then PS3 then 3DS/2DS and switch
homebrew browser can crash when you try do download 2 or more apps at the same time.
Great video! i miss my wii...
they're not too expensive! mine was $65 and looking online that seems to be a low but not unrealistic price

You could definitely get one for $20 or less if you check your local used marketplace every few days
Antique store???
Funny how hacking the Wii is on par with entering a cheat code now.
banger vid
Honestly if I buy another Wii I’ll definitely modify it.
Black Wii family edition supremacy
