where did you get the Alcantara steering wheel from? ah just heard in vid, from Royal steering wheels, what was the cost? plus did the eventuri induction kit invalidate your bmw warranty? thanks 👌
This channel proper growing on me lately… mature content, no screaming, proper information, and absolutely amazing scenery / editing etc. Proper grown up channel that’s done perfectly.
Really nice update. So glad you selflessly take care of your other half! She probably feels just as lucky as you do. And yes, that shade of gray is most awesome! I hope one day to order a RWD manual M3 in that color.
Amazing video, well done! Love the Dravit Grey, the photos/footage don't do it justice, it's a brilliant colour in-person. When I first saw photos of it, I just thought it was another variant of a boring dark grey metallic from BMW, but I quickly changed my mind when I saw it at my local dealership.
Fantastic car, a credit to you for the spec and tasteful upgrades. I'm not usually one for modifying but they adds to the appeal of the car massively. Wheels especially 😍
Great video, great roads, great mods, close up camera really picked out the bronze fleck with the sun shining on it. Really like the wheels - I went straight on the website hoping they did them for the F10 M5 (but unfortunately not). Looking forward to the 'Touring' spec video, excellent work Joe.
In a nutshell: great car, all rounder with xdrive, when you do the exhaust it sounds better, when you add carbon parts to the engine the bay looks better
@@JoeAchilles1 ha! I was only 1/4 through before I decided to comment. You really did good with the Dravit Grey and Fiona Red. Also, no true car guy can go through a tunnel without a sound check, we get it😎👍🏽 Such a beautiful road, we don’t have anything like that in America.
The car looks so gorgeous in the sun, have you applied any wax or ceramic coating to the car? Those seats certainly shape your body to hold you in place, do they have much cushioning?
Another great review, filming and editing Joe 👏🏻. xDrive would be just the ticket for an Alps trip in winter. With 0-100mph in only 7.5s this car is very quick.
Great video! What a gorgeous car and what an amazing drive through the mountains! That road is fantastic! I currently have a 2020 bmw m340ix dravit gray and I get compliments all the times due to the bronze color under the sunlight. It’s so nice that my bmw service advisor ordered an m4 competition with the same color! With that said, I am in the process of trading my m340ix for the X3M which should arrive within the next one to two weeks. I can’t wait! The M3 is such a beast of a car! I would have gone for the M3 comp but I needed more practical room so the X3M was the next best thing available.
Beautiful location and amazing M3, those wheels really do look the business!! 1 Question however... will the exhaust you have fit on the Touring when it lands next year??
Congrats 👏🏾 Joe on ordering your M3 Touring so jealous, I can't wait to see that content. Great video. I love the way the wheels look black in some shots. I love the dravit grey. I actually got to see the gold bronze metallic flex. I'm still not sure what colour to order my new touring in. Can't stretch to an M3 Touring, but......
you deserve a subscribe no doubt. I had done the same thing by selling my Competition RWD drive G80 after 10 months and lost no equity as well, even though i had close to 9k miles on it, now its quite a dilemma on what to go with next with plenty of options, let me know what you think of those: 1- G80 manual 2- Upcoming G80 CS 3- upcoming C63s 4- upcoming M2 manual 4- CT5V Blackwing manual 5- go back to basics with manual E92 M3
What mpg are you getting Joe? I've got the m440d and love it ! But the true M is on my radar for the future if not too ridiculous to run. Many thanks. Love your content. Never miss a vid
Is Lou not a fan of the more 'spirited driving ' because I'm sure your viewers would have welcomed her along. The only reason you would want rwd only is if the car is used solely on track and every kg is important. As a road car the extra poise, traction and security on any road in any weather gained by the X drive makes it so much more useable. Add the bonus that you can go rwd as an option for lairy mountain passes and X drive seems a total no brainer to me. Add the extra practicality of the Touring and BMW may have produced the ultimate vehicle for real world ownership. And I'm not really a BMW fan. I just appreciate good cars.
Hi Joe, love the content as always. I’ve just bought a G80 and collect it in March. Just checking, you put 10mm spacers on all corners and Eibach springs only on the front? Be good to know as I love the look and think the stock front height leaves too much of a gap in the arches.
That was the reason I did not go with the red interior. I really wish the fiona red had the alcantara. It looks more premium and breaks the color blocking up nicer. So I ended up with silverstone buckets.
Nice car. 👌 Does the exaust from the sedan fit on the touring? I have a FI exaust also ordered the touring and wont to fit the FI onder the touring. Grtz.
Hi Joe, I too have a 330i M Sport in Dravit Grey with Cognac interior and the paintwork is truly amazing, changing according to the weather but that is where the similarity ends...
The upgrades are cool as this is your own car but based on a potential ownership, the number of upgrades actually puts me off. Also the is the new I drive coming out in the next batch, so if your looking to buy.... Wait a bit. Keep up the good work Joe 👍👍
Went past each other a few days ago, I was on my bike heading towards caffeine and machine. I was thinking nice car, then recognised the number plate and was like hold on a minute 😂
Love your uploads Joe so professional, I’m heading off to France soon in my G11 730D M sport which I love and noticed on your car no UK identification is this not needed anymore ? Have a nice break Joe and keep up the excellent work you really know how to deliver a review.
Are you going to drive this car by winter? Have you already got a winter tire set? I am considering shall I get again 19"/20" set or 19"/19" this time. These two options are official offer from BMW for G8x cars.
Joe, love the videos! On the off chance you see this… if given the chance, would you keep the x-drive or buy a RWD manual? I live in the states and have a manual on order, but have time to change it which is making me second guess every decision I’ve made lol.
Thanks for talking me off the cliff! I’m sticking with with my decision. The manual is what made me want it in the first place, but all the AWD launch videos (and the WAITING, oh the waiting) made me question it.
I have a question JOE. How you feel the M3 XDRIVE compared to 992 4 GTS yellow you drove? I am interested in driving dynamics, feeling, brakes, transmission etc? Thank you for your future answer!
i’ve never heard anyone discussing how terribly flat those rear seats are considering the performance, and especially the lateral forces the car is capable of and the fact it’s basically a family car arguably built for sharing the joy of its performance with family and friends.
Hi Joe, excellent video! Had my first child a couple of days ago and looking to change my f82 m4 comp into the m3 touring. Did you spec yours at a dealer or online? Thx
Hi Joe. Thinking about pulling the trigger on the 2022 m4. Had a 2018 m3 with the carbon splitter that I kept scraping. Do you have the same issues with your m4?
I would use my m3 only on weekends but also to go on vacation. and I have to drive 2000 kilometers home. Are bucket seats to be avoided in my case? thank you
Love your content Joe. Question cayman GTS 4.0 PDK or the upcoming bmw M2 2023 model. You have driven both so Im interested to hear your thoughts. Cheers from Australia
Just binging your videos Joe, as I've fallen behind/was on vacation in early Aug...why am I always worried about where the nearest gas station is when you are out on these types of roads /regions LOL
Hi Joe, great video as always, I ordered mine back in December and hopefully it’s due any day now 🤞🏽. Just wondering if you’ve had any conversations with BMW about how the modifications affect any warranty? I really want to get the eventuri intake, get lowering and add spacers.
@@fizzel5711 Not yet, I've finally got mine now and was so excited on handover I completely forgot to ask. I will be asking when then run in service comes, just 700 miles to go...
