Many people don't believe in ESP unless they experience it themselves. I haven't but our dog did. One day out of the blue he started howling this strange, mournful howl. My Mother told him to stop because other than barking we'd never heard that sound from him. My Mother checked him over thinking he was in pain but there were no sensitive areas and she tried to get him to stop but he wouldn't or couldn't. It was chilling to hear it. Then about 15 -20 minutes later the phone rang and my Mother picked it up and it was my Aunt Amelia with whom my Grandmother lived. While the elderly are more prone to strokes than young people we cannot say that we expected her to die in a few days or months or years but my Grandmother had had a massive stroke and the EMT's were unable to revive her. My Aunt Amelia called because she had never been good in a crisis and didn't know what to do next. Our dog stopped howling the moment he heard the phone ring. My Mother told her what to do next and she'd get hold of my Dad and we'd head there as soon as we could. I will never forget Bullet's mournful howling and many people didn't believe us. It was enough that we believed.

My dog couldn’t care less if I’m injured or sick. She just wants to play. When I fall down the mountain or fall XC skiing the most she does is look to see if I’m alive. So far I have been.
