    Glad for the couples though I think the wealthy couple was mad not to go for the stunning bungalow within walking distance for their son. There seemed to be a ton of room for their family just as it was, and with saving 600,000+ pounds maybe they could enjoy life a little more and not work so hard. Sometimes with these shows I shake my head about what we "need" in a house. It was telling that the young couple was totally fine with airport and train, but the birds were a bit annoying for the wealthy fellow. I don't know about anyone else, but my hubby and I reminisce with great joy about our first humble home. More isn't necessarily happier. Cheers everyone.

    I'm always amazed and irritated by people with a budget over $800K who are so picky! The occasional car and a road that one can barely hear (first house), or (bungalow) the plot being "too small" in an amazingly Large plot, the rooms "too small" that are actually quite large as well. Money just seems to make people into entitled jerks. Contrast them to the first time buyers: not only road noise, but trucks, airplanes, dogs barking....none of that even fazed them. All they want is decent parking and an extra room for an office. Yes, I've worked in RE and it's the same everywhere. Give me humble first-time buyers!

      A couple spending over a million dollars is most likely going to live in the house much longer than a couple spending 200k though. If I’m spending they much, I want to get as much as possible because I do not want to move anytime soon.

      I’m completely in disbelief. If the 1.3 was buying something absolutely stunning that would make a difference but knowing you can afford 1.4 and only having to spend 750 plus some refurbishment or building work, the total would be way under the 1.3. Some people are impossible to read.

    The last property the wealthier couple looked at was gorgeous! I don't know how much room they think they need, but there's no way they're looking at their forever house and that slipped out when he wondered what the cap on the street value was. They're designers and investors; they'll be in this house 5 years max.

    • @thehungrygoldfish
      @thehungrygoldfish ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can do all of that over time though. They don’t have to do everything all at once. If they had bought that bungalow, they would’ve had to do all that and even more. They would have to add a second floor ffs. They don’t have to do any extensions in the second house. It’s all cosmetic.

    People who have more than a million pounds to spend on a house always think they can get more than what's on the market. They feel entitled and hardly ever take one these houses. Instead, they use Phil and Kirsty to learn the market. Then, they dump them and go out and find a house on their own. In short, most of them are players.

    • @thehungrygoldfish
      @thehungrygoldfish 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      But that’s not what happened here. And I know of at least three other million dollar plus searches that ended up with a house that was shown on the show. Also keep in mind that most of these searches are looking for long term houses so they’re pickier.
