In Search of Vikings. Rock Carvings. Hawks Stones. Todmorden.

A project that's been ongoing since the start of our channel, nearly 4 years ago, is tracking down the Paul Frechette Viking Face carvings across Calderdale and beyond.
Paul carved a number of Viking faces on 'out of the way' rocks across the hillsides, marked with initials of family and friends, around the turn of the Millenium. Rumours are there may be anything between 20 to 40 of these to find.
The one we search for today is off Kebs Road at Hawks Stones. But will we be successful?

Thanks for the video. There are no public rights of way north of Kebs Rd in that locality. Hence the barbed wire fences. I’ve always wanted to explore, but now you’ve both done it for me and possibly ripped your pants in doing so.

Haha.....no pants to rip this time, thankfully. It's odd as there ate paths to stiles....then nothing. Anyway, that makes sense, and thankfully, we found what we were looking for. Thanks for watching 😊

Yes I didn't go looking fir vikings there as last time I went there got chased off by angry landowner

The viking is on the moorland on a path.....I think it's okay as long as you're not on the rocks. It's odd how the other path just stops...🤷‍♂️
