Heavy meal : nasi kukus with fried chicken, top notch! Smells amazing.
Light one : roti titab ( kopitiam kita), bread is very soft and melting, but their kaya jam is their secret recipe, taste different from anywhere else.

For me at the number one spot must be nasi kerabu with complete accessories like:
Ulam( green leaves, vegetables), budu, sambal tumis, kerisik, kerepok, telur masin, solok lada, grilled meat, ikan celup tepung. So many toppings u can not see the blue rice, haha. Enjoy our cuisine delights and thank God for that

    1. The dessert section is more of breakfast section really. Those are food usually taken/bought in the morning.
    2. Nasi tumpang. You are right that it is like Nasi Impit (compressed rice - like the one eaten with satay) but it is mixed during the cooking (steamed) with serunding (beef floss) and fish gravy. Back in the older days, it's meant for farmers, who can eat rice in that form (solid/caked) easier by holding the banana leaf. (due to dirty hands working in the paddy field).
    3. Laksam - flat rice noodle with coconut milk & minced fish gravy. The sambal provide the extra saltiness, sharpness and spiciness but more importantly it cuts off/balance the richness of the coconut milk thus reduces the sensation of feeling bloated.
(that is why Malaysians often have sambal when we eat curries or any coconut gravy).

so what are they gonna do in Gua Musang ? that place is not really easy to visit unless you have you own transport, they can go there with train but after that they will need use taxi or maybe bus which is for me not very convenient to travel in area like Gua Musang, especiall for foreigner like them

@@EllisWR cool, I can't wait to watch that videos, what I mean from my comment above is because Gua Musang not very tourist friendly in terms of transportation because the public transport there not that good compared to other cities like Kota Bharu, even I myself from kelantan but I won't go to Gua Musang if not with my own transport like car or maybe motorcycle, that why we rarely see video from foreign tourist do vlog in Gua Musang, but yeah you're not like other foreigner since you travel to a lot of places that many typical travellers didn't even think to go and you show how beautiful is that place on terms of social, culture, food etc

When you're ordering drinks in kelantan, you should highlight asking for a no/less sugar. I'm Kelantanese live in kelantan, i usually repeat the "less" 3 times.. especially 'tea o beng'
The quality of food taste in that market has went down after covid. Everything taste wayy better before that. Seems like the sellers did something to their recipe bcs cost of raw ingredients has spike especially last year, still they need to maintain the acceptable price for foods. obviously it doesn't taste the same, they cut down some ingredients and i was disappointed many times. I go there everyday,.

Kelantan is the poorest state, there is not much development, the cost of living is low, houses can be rented from RM70. This state is rich in culture and art such as batik and wau bulan made by hand, dikir barat, wayang kulit, dikir barat, but unfortunately it is no longer visible. On the beach there used to be horse riding, elephants doing tricks, coconut tree climbing monkey competitions, now the beach is polluted, garbage is everywhere, sad.
