Hey James, such a great song and you do it so well. Your channel is the first one I always check on TH-cam. I'm 54 and love your taste in music. Lived all over the US, grew up in Fla, currently CA. Skynyrd songs are feel good music. Keep it up brother. What you do is appreciated by so many of us :-)
thank you JJ for taking your time to make and share these videos . I love watching them . You are a great guitarist and I would give my eye teeth to have guitar talent like you have ! Thanks again and please , keep em coming !
Just wanted to say thanks for the service you have shared on the internet. I am a vintage member of your channels, and have learned a lot from your renditions. For me you are a person of great integrety, and I happen to think you are aces.
I am so glad I watched your last privattricker video so I could find this video again. I hadn't learned it all when it disappeared off your privattricker. Sorry to hear your reasons for the change, your lessons are great !!!! Dan in Canada
You're great dude. I found your old channel and really enjoyed it. Saw your farewell post an it just pissed me off. Keep on pickin' and posting. I just got a brand new Les Paul Standard SR. I'll be watching and learning.
I haven't been to the HOG in over 30 years but my memory was guitars literally everywhere. I'm going back this summer to see it again(hopefully). definitely getting a shirt if not a new axe.
awesome job i have only been playing for 1 year and a half my first video/song i learned was your cover for steve miller mercury blues you can git r done
I can't quite make the little lick you do at 1:45 work for me. Is there any chance you could explain what you do please? Thanks for all your great work - it has helped bozo's like me immensely and given me much enjoyment.
ahhhhhh absolutely love it man, skynyrd's version of breeze is fantastic! I'm still trying to learn every note of this song; you make it look so effortless. How long did it take you to learn to play breeze like this?
hahaaa thanks for making me laugh out loud at work! So you're telling me I've only got 28.5 more years of work to go ;D. I may be a crappy guitar player but it's still a lot of fun - I will soldier on and try to get this gem nailed......thanks for posting this stuff man!
man the part at 1:45 I cant ever get I'd give just about anything if you could send a slowed down version of that part or even the whole solo cause I have most of it and every tab I look at is different especially the 1:45 part..
how you can play all these songs without having a fucking head is beyond me. You're more awesome than the decapitated chicken that survived for 3 years.
Those guys could really play off each other, love Skynyrd
Great job! And as great as the guitar work is on that song, the Billy Powell solo is unreal!
Another valuable lesson from one of your faithful! Your lessons enforce how important it is for young players to develop a great sense of rhythm.

Are you from Rochester? You're wearing a shirt from my local music shop ...one of the coolest music stores in the county!
I lived in Rochester for 20 years, but I moved in the mid-90s. Bought many guitars at the HOG.
I haven't been to the HOG in over 30 years but my memory was guitars literally everywhere. I'm going back this summer to see it again(hopefully). definitely getting a shirt if not a new axe.

+Sheriff John Bird About 30 years locked in the bedroom with a guitar, and then about 45 minutes getting the solo down.
hahaaa thanks for making me laugh out loud at work! So you're telling me I've only got 28.5 more years of work to go ;D. I may be a crappy guitar player but it's still a lot of fun - I will soldier on and try to get this gem nailed......thanks for posting this stuff man!
You are bad ass
What camera and recording equipment do you use?
Perfect as all your video's. If you get a chance for your entertainment you should check out John Mayer's version.

WHEN YOU PLAY THIS SONG DO YOU USE ANY EFFECTS PEDALS FLANG, DISTROTION ECT
Gain and phase shifter, with reverb and delay.
I was about to ask the same thing, was it a phaser I could hear, or a wah wah used in a subtle way, but my question was answered hahaha 👍
Where did you get that tshirt man?
At the House of Guitars in Rochester, NY.
Did the guitar player on this also play the solo on Free Bird?
Gary takes the solo on this one, Allen solos on Freebird.
FUCKIN 'A"!
how you can play all these songs without having a fucking head is beyond me. You're more awesome than the decapitated chicken that survived for 3 years.
I am the decapitated chicken!
How come from 1:50 to 1:52 ou played it differently than Privettricker? is this remastered?
+Oliver Oliver The same reason I do everything: I felt like it.
+James James
Love it.
+Oliver Oliver ...ask Dickie Betts or Warren the same question....
You mean Gary Rossington..·
