Still what a shame he passed away! But we also could have a positive approach like the Argentinians toward their tango icon Carlos Gardel, who died in a plane accident in 1936. Many people there say that he died in 1936 but that he sings better every day. Indeed when I listen again to J.J. Cale I often have the impression that it sounds better than the previous time I listened to.

Slow, steady bluesy rhythm from the “Tulsa Sound” man JJ Cale! The enthusiastic applause at the end tells you just how much he’s adored; RIPower Music Man 😻
26 year-old John Mayer watching with admiration at 0:19. Less than two years before this June 2004 festival (August 2002), my wife and I saw John headline in Portland with Guster and the John Butler Trio. We were both 51 at the time, and I remember looking around the venue and wondering if we were the oldest couple in the crowd. That's J. J. Cale's wife, Christine Lakeland, on acoustic guitar in front of Mayer.
Clapton is god at 1 time! Nobody better and had graffiti everywhere in mid/late 60s... but funny thing a dog was pissing on 1 sign and Clapton himself even said well there you go lol.
I watch this clip at least once a day and envy those who saw these two legends live. And, boy!, what a lovely smile Christine Lakeland has. JJ must be the luckiest guy on earth to have this woman playing alongside him. RIP JJ.

Yeah there's not many that even compare to the kicked back old school blues stylings of JJ Cale and it's fun watching Clapton having fun sort of just jamming with JJ's band 😊😅😮😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
JJ Cail was a huge fan of Charvel guitars. before they go became popular with many other musicians. I was an OTR truck driver so this song was automatically a favorite of mine. and I also couldn't help but like Lynyrd Skynyrd's version of the song.
Yeah JJ Cale is who got Eric Clapton interested in kicked back style blues during the time Eric Clapton was at least a part time member of the JJ Cale band 😊😅😮😂❤😂😊
When I come off road on weekends or when I made it home (trucking the USA) I get a shower get in my BIG GMC PICKUP truck put JJ CALE LIVE ON CD ride through the mountains half the night burning one and jamming to that CD all night drinking cold ones the I got out the FEAT YEP LITTLE FEAT AN JAM TILL DAYLIGHT. To have been able to produce and play such brilliant music like JJCale did with the hands and fingers of a steel worker ...is pretty special along with his unbelievable talent ..too right !

It's been ten years since he left earth. But we are all there listening to his music. And enjoying it again and again. Thank you JJ Cale.
