  • In this video, I show you how to sew the Mysa Crossbody Bag by Bagstock Designs. This video is filmed like a sew along. If you don't want to watch the part where I sew or am doing other things, you can always fast forward or adjust the speed of the video, so it is faster. However, there are times I give tips and tricks while sewing. I figured filling in some of those moments with some helpful information, makes it a bit more interesting to watch.
Also to note, I do not give any measurements, show pattern pieces or use any measuring tools on camera, in any tutorials I film. This is for the protection of the pattern/designer and also because I often film tutorials during testing and measurements or other things can change. So, to ensure the tutorials are accurate and match with the pattern, I don't give this information. You will need to have your pattern open on another device, printed, or open on your computer to follow along with each step and be able to refer to measurements or seam allowances given. If you have the video open on your computer and want to also have the pattern PDF open on your computer, you can minimize this TH-cam video and move it to a corner on your screen, it'll be smaller but you can still see it and have the pattern open as well.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the designer, Namrata, through her email provided in the pattern. You can also leave comments below and I will reply as soon as I can.
NOTE - You will need to purchase this pattern, from the designer, in order to sew this bag, as no pattern piece measurements are given in this video.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the beautiful Mysa Crossbody Bags made and posted on social media! =D
The machine I sewed this bag on is a Juki TL-2200 QVP Mini and I used 90/14 needle. The materials I used are quilting cotton and faux leather for the exterior and quilting cotton for the lining. For threads I used Gutterman All Purpose thread. You'll want to use materials, needles and threads that work best for your machine.

I cut a slit into a flat sponge to insert hardware into while getting those screws in. Thank you for video.

You're very welcome! Also, great tip, thank you for that! When not filming, I use the edge of my table, but this is a smarter method! 😃

Thank you for your helpful video. In the pattern she mentions she prefers fusible fleece. I can’t find an email address anywhere for the designer so I’m wondering if you can help. Should I use the fusible fleece with my vinyl and if so, do I cut it smaller to eliminate bulky seams?

      Hello,
You can definitely use the fleece. It's a good idea to cut it so it is not in the seam allowances. Helps reduce the bulk. Always fuse from the wrong side and place a pressing cloth between the iron and fleece. Often what I'll do with fusible fleece and vinyl, instead of fusing, I'll use dst to hold it in place while I sew the bag together. Hope that helps. 😊
