I’m really enjoying the Jim Beam Winter Reserve as a budget- bang for your buck. It’s low proof but great flavors. A little thin, but for $25 to 30-ish dollars, pretty solid.
It's gotten harder to find, but my value pour Scotch is Glenlivet 12yr Illicit Still (~$40-45). My value pour recommendation in Bourbon would be a Blue Note Store Pick (~$40-45). Really enjoying the channel.
What the crap! I literally almost bought a NULU for the first time today. I picked up a Woodinville straight bourbon finished with toasted applewood staves. If they had this one...I might not have been able to put that one down. Sounds delicious. 🤣 Quick facts with Kalyn!! AND YES!!! Melted chocolate is gross! THANK YOU!!! Budget bottle for me is definitely Russels 10 year or Michters American Whiskey.
My favorite bangs for the buck under $50? Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary, Four Roses Small Batch Select, Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Bulleit 12 year rye, Still Austin Cask Strength bourbon, Bardstown Origin black label are some off the top of my head. 😆
Johnnie Walker High Rye I thought was surprisingly delicious and only 36 bucks, and Old Grandad 114 is an obvious one for 30 bucks. Depending on cost in your area, I almost always keep 1792 bottles in bond on my bar also, as I get it for about 45 bucks.
That chuckle at the mom joke, before the smack, had me laughing. As someone who loves maple syrup this is right up my alley. Unfortunately the nearest distributor of this stuff is 2.5 hours away and as pointed out, the price is a bit steep.
MAPLE BRÛLÉE IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW! Rabbit Hole, Hard Truth, and Good Times have all recently followed Nulu and jumped on the maple brûlée bandwagon. Tonnellerie Moreau is the Canadian cooperage that brûlées the barrels. Insanely delicious pour.
Friendly suggestion - speed that intro up about 2x. Great setup looks awesome. First time seeing you guys. Edit: 4 minutes in y'all got some dry comedic chops. Love it
Supposedly NULU has changed their sourcing from MGP to Barton. Obviously it’ll take a bit before for that appears on shelves though. As for your question, New Riff Single Barrel is my go-to pour, and that’s right around $50.
BLASPHEMY!!! What's next Kayln??? I suppose you're gonna say mixed up melty ice cream is disgusting??? What about fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, huh??? And are you throwing a molten lava chocolate cake in Dustin's face??? 🤣👍 Great vid guy's, bringing out some stuff that we haven't seem before!
Dude!......budget whisky....you have to pick up a bottle of Gordon Graham's Black Bottle Blended Scotch. This was historically a blend of Scotches from all the regions in Scotland, so it is really complex with some fruity notes, some honey, some spice and smoke and peatiness added in as they include an Islay whisky in the blend (I think it Caol Ila). Sells for 32 dollars canadian so should only be 25 bucks american for you. Best budget Scotch ever! It is only 40% or 80 proof...but for the price point, you cant beat it.
Don’t tell the artisans about the Artesians taking over s’mores making, or next thing you know the artisans will be digging wells and supplying free water to the world. 😉
OGD 114, four roses single barrel, 1792 single barrel or full proof, smoke wagon uncut the younger, bardstown origin 106 proof, still Austin cask strength

I've heard such good things about that, but I have never seen it in CT.
It is very good, but rumor has it that it is now a Kentucky only release.
@@marknelson9615 FUUUUUUUUUDGE!
How about doing some more American single malts? Stranahan and Yellowstone are fantastic ones to try
Laphroaig 10, Talisker 10 or a Caol Ila 12 are all great bang for your buck whiskies.
Dust on the bottle sounds like a song just waiting to be created 🥃

Michter's US-1 Bourbon has my vote.
The toasted barrel was the best of their products
Gotta love the back wash part 😅

I've got one of these from Seelbach's 116.4 proof. Thanks for your tasting notes. Cheers!
**tasting high-proof spirits** "This is a family-friendly show!" -- "Is it?" Somehow that cracked me up 😂🥂
That chuckle at the mom joke, before the smack, had me laughing. As someone who loves maple syrup this is right up my alley. Unfortunately the nearest distributor of this stuff is 2.5 hours away and as pointed out, the price is a bit steep.

Granddad 114; $35. Solid barrel proof especially for the price 🤌
A ton of good budget mentions here already. If you can find a good KC store pick for around $50, it might be up for consideration as well.
Check out Driftless glen, small distillery, good quality and it’s in Wisconsin

I've only had 2 from Nulu, a honey cask finished store pick and an amburana store pick. Liked them both. Don't love the price so much.
Couch!
Isn't Nulu like the name of a neighborhood in Louisville? I think that's where the name came from.
Old Tub!!!

Go 1792 or Early times...
Rittenhouse Rye $30
