Between Kaylin smelling shot put balls and Dustin tasting airport gates….this video was amazing! (As always!). You guys are just the best….I really look forward to these laughs every video.
I'm catching up on my TH-cam backlog. I love your videos! I got my pipe with tobacco, Elijah Craig's Rye whiskey and it's a beautiful Saturday night in MN. Let's go!!!!!
"Its like love" (her eyes get WIDE).."unh...NO!...NO!...Unh I wasnt looking at it the correct way!"........OMG!....PRICELESS!...the back pedalling was hilarious!
Poured some BizarreBQ to follow along since it's the only one of these I have. I'm glad it fared well as I bought multiple bottles to enjoy for years to come. Still Uigeadail beats them all but who's counting.
Ardbeg has been coming out with a lot of special editions. I haven't had these, but I have the first two of the Anthology series. The first one - The Harpy's Tale - is partially matured in Sauternes barrels. I can taste the Sauternes in it. It adds an interesting layer of complexity on top of the peat.
KILLING IT!!!!!.....(you are!).....well done....and what a line up....I only have one of the 4 bottles...so it was nice to see how the others compared.
Ardbeg is so good, and the black and gold glens are looking great. Can’t wait to see how this blind shakes out! ETA: Done watching. This may be y’all’s best video yet. 10/10
“Airport gate” is pretty stellar too. Was gonna be done commenting but had to mention I (Josh) also did the heavy sugar addition on Rice Crispiest as a kid. Every spoonful had to have that small pile of sugar on the tip of the spoon.
That was an amazing ride and a lot of fun to watch unfold! Love the chemistry and the straight ratings! Can't wait for the next blind tasting and being able to vote on Patreon (on Tuesday... 🤫😉)!! Cheers!! 🥃
2:52 Omg! You two are so effing adorable! - fk. I'm going to be editing this several times throughout the video, aren't I? but really, 4:25 'form..form...formababhighb...." ? ;) 6:15 - man..don't ask, don't tell.... ;P 12:28 - saga: basically Charles Schulz TV Special ( Thanksgiving, Christmas, Great Pumpkin...) vs. testing a 9 volt battery :D 19:28 Peap smoke ftw
@@otbwhiskey My dad was like, "You want some Rice Krispies with your sugar?" Ironic, since he was the one who showed me how to scoop the sugar off the bottom of the bowl with each spoonful.
That cadaver lab smell is what kept me from going into medical school. My friend snuck me into his cadaver lab when he was in medical school and I became violently ill from the smell. To this day, If I get even a hint of that smell, I start feeling nauseous. It's a smell that lives with you the rest of your life.
Dusty shot put? Is KALYN related to Trenton @ SLB? I mean that in the most positive light as possible. They both have super creative ways of describing aromas.
Enjoy your oak and vanilla. Maybe banana and cherry if you go Old Forrester. But beyond that, bourbon doesn't offer much variety. You should challenge your palate with new things and you'll find it makes you appreciate what you already know that much more.
@bdwilcox maybe you should try opening up your palate a bit.. there are so many more flavors in bourbon than just oak and vanilla... you can keep your smokey band aid flavors
@@ConradF27 Started in bourbon, explored the full gamut from Evan Wiliiams black label to OF 1920 to way-overpriced Buffalo Trace allocated picks. Not much variety there. Now branched out to Scotch, Mezcal/Tequila, Rum and some Cognac/Armagnacs. Makes you appreciate a consistently good bourbon that's not part of the hype train. The two that always deliver for me are Old Forrester 100 and Jack Daniels SBBP, Beyond that, more expensive bourbons don't offer much that alternate spirits can offer at much lower prices. As for Scotch most don't have smoke or band-aid/medicinal flavors, that's usually the Islays with the occasional Highlands like Ledaig and Glenturret. The two non-smokey, non-medicinal Scotches I would recommend you to try are Glencadam 10 which is fruity and almost citrust-y while being 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural color. The other one to try is Glenallachie 12 which is very chocolate/raisin forward. It, too, is 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural color. The Glencadam can usually be found for about $45 and the Glenallachie can usually be found for about $60. Challenge yourself. Try something new. Or don't. It's your money. But I'm glad I got out of my comfort zone. Take it for what it's worth.
Please in the future have Kaylin and Trent from SLB drinks get together and do a tasting they have yhe most crazy notes it would be a win/win for everyone 😅
@16:59 "OOOH.....that one smells like hickory bacon now this time around"....for the BizarreBQ......she NAILED IT!!!!

She has gone full Brianna (Whiskey Tribe) - "smells like bucket" LOL.

Bro, the space hate alongside the quick cut to the hoodie at 18:06 killed me.

Lol best ending ever 😂

Ah I have not had the pleasure of trying any of the Anthology releases yet but hopefully one day 🤞🏻
We always added sugar to our cereal when we were kids. Great video, can’t wait to see you live with Josh and Erin tomorrow!!

The "dusty shot put ball" note is so upper level 👏👏👏

“Dusty shot-put ball” is, without a doubt, one of the very best nosing notes in the history of whisky tasting ever.
“Airport gate” is pretty stellar too. Was gonna be done commenting but had to mention I (Josh) also did the heavy sugar addition on Rice Crispiest as a kid. Every spoonful had to have that small pile of sugar on the tip of the spoon.
Love this blind. BizzareBQ is smoke glazed ham on a charcoal grill. Savory as heck. You guys are a fun watch
HEY YO! definitely a reference i wasn’t ready for on the barrel
Nice Pinocchio reference there to wanting to be a real boy.
Lucky me having two bottles of Bizarre BQ left. 😊. What a great comparison from both of you.

My favorite distillery. So good.
OMG so jealous, I do have two of those though.
No more big words for Dustin.

Love the reference to the bag guy
This was a ride!! 😂
Awesome video 👏🏻
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
peeps smores are on my mind now thanks.
I think 'fig newton' is to OTB what lupus is to House.
It smells like burning tires and tastes like a band aid, MMMMMMM....sounds good.🤔
Dustin. I did the same thing with my Rice Krispies!
Ha! Yes! So glad I'm not alone in that practice 🥣

A shotput ball is simply called a shot. "In his senior year, he graduated from the 12 pound to the 16 pound shot."
Are you guys in the Twin Cities? Curious where you go for your harder to find Scotches.
So it smells like cow patties?
....ummmmm..just FYI...the Glenmorangie Signet....has some chocolate notes.....candyman! lol
Ah I absolutely love Signet 👌🏻 You are right, a ton of chocolate in that one.
@@otbwhiskey Chocolate and coffee. Signet is one of those rare expensive bottles that is worth what they charge.
I like your NASA shirt. I will message you on Patreon about it.
I want the chocolate covered cherries dustin
Dustin, whered you get that NASA hoodie?
I think I found it at H&M like 3 years ago 🤔

Same with Brianna from Whiskey Tribe.

yo-hey!
Formaldehyde cadaver??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm starting to regret not picking up a Bizarrebq.
I don't know how you can drink that stuff.
Mmmm, Ardbeg. I am a big fan of uigeadail.
Anti-Septic Scale

From a bourbon guy, none of the notes they said sound like ill be trying scotch anytime soon 😅
