Surprised on the Jim. I picked one up last night and was delightfully surprised with it.
I gave sample to a guy and he liked it. He bought his own and said it tasted nothing like mine. I think they have consistency issues.

I hated the neck pour of it but after a week open, I think it’s pretty good. Lots of butterscotch and a short but decent finish for the proof.

I just got a bottle and the neck pour was pretty impressive for the price point... and I hate Bakers and don't really care for KC9 or KC12. Oh, what fickle animals we are. 😅
My everyday drinkers are represented here. OF 100, 4 roses small batch and turkey 101. I keep a bottle of 114 in the bar because it makes a fantastic old fashioned. Great format guys!

Went to a four roses tasting with master distiller. He let us know. The small batch is mainly OESO. That is also why the OSO recipe is the hardest to find in single barrel store pics.

As a fan of the Russels and OF 100, I approve. Try Rebel 100, it's right in the hunt with those imo.

You should have made a simple x-y plot, where the x-axis is the price and the y-axis is the average score from you guys. That would allow you to easily select a point in the graph that constitutes the true best value.

1792 small batch, Jim beam extra aged (tho they are replacing that with a 7 year old that isn’t as good.), regular four roses 80 proof, buffalo trace. Best budget bourbons your can get. Bonus pick mix a half shot of 1972 small batch with a half shot of buffalo trace.
Was just about the buy the 4R single barrel.. might have to grab the small batch instead now and I was getting Jim beam 7 envy lately since I can’t find it in the UK so absolutely loving your score! 😂 great video, cheers!
I'm a fan of the EW BiB as a cheap pour but EW has a bit of nostalgia for me. They also have my fav 12 year although KC12 may edge it out
Some good daily sippers there. My every days are Old Forester 100, Old Grand-Dad Bonded, Turkey 101, and Larceny. Great sips for a great price

I'm new to bourbon and the WT101 I bought did nothing for me at all. Seemed really "light".
My value bottles , kc 12 and rare breed are both $48 here in NY

I agree with Sean on the OF 1910 being a better budget bottle than the 1920 and just the better bottle IMO. I am also a fan of the OF 100 proof signature bottle at $37.99 as opposed to the OF 1897 bib @ $54.99, hell you can buy a handle of 100 signature for just $4 more than the 1897. The Old Grand Dad 114 in my opinion is on a different level because it’s a cask strength bourbon at a bottom shelf price $26.99, I have 3 bottles sitting in waiting on the one that’s open! And I love the MM 46. 🥃Cheers!

Bought a bottle of 46 off this video, even though I don't really enjoy regular Maker's, and HOT DAMN it's quite good! In my personal rankings it sits right below 1910 and right above Woodford Double Oaked. Appreciate the rec!
I'm not big on makers either. I ended up mixing it with a rye, and i liked how that came out. plan to try a second wheated bourbon tjis weekend, so I will see if I jusy dislike wheat or not.

Maybe i need to do this! My daily go to bottles are usually 101, Bulliett Rye, Lost Monarch. Need to see blind how they are against others. Def want to get ahold of the 46 French. Havent seen in my area.
Surprised you spit out Jim Beam 7. It's been getting great reviews. I think it's a great bargain bourbon. Does having different ones back-to-back effect the taste buds as you go? Meaning, if it was sipped in a different order, you make have swallowed it instead of spitting it out, lol?
I literally purchased my FIRST bottle of OF 100 Orange label yesterday. It’s actually my first bottle of the entire OF lineup. It’s definitely worthy of the $27 I paid.

I hate Jim White Label but I love Jim Black 7 at the price. $43 for a 1.75?! Would I rather have KC9? Sure but that's $65 for a 1.75 around me. Also Makers 101 is good. I like every bottle in that lineup but they are definitely in the right order.
I always keep a bottle of Old Forester 100 in the house. So good. (Not just because it's cheap)

Glad to see OF100 getting some love. I know EW Bib gets a lot of love on many other reviews on other channels but I think it's worth the extra 8 dollars for the OF100

WT101 today vs 3-5 years ago are miles different. I suspect the older stock that was going in the 101 is now being used for the new fancy releases

I was shocked how good the JB Black 7 year is.
My years of watching the bourbon junkies always told me that they hated Russel’s reserve and loved redwood empire, Dan especially with the lost monarch. This whole video hurt my head
Also they are never a fan of 4 roses other than the picks.
Four Roses Single Barrel 100 proof is freaking great, and I regularly get it for under 40. Big recommend
it's my favorite whiskey. Needless to say, I like a lot of rye
46 was my fave when I first started drinking

Maker's 46 is a good pour and completely different from the normal Maker's
Makers 46 beats the almost impossible to find Weller 12 - or at least they are very similar experiences and the 46 is a great substitute. It would have been interesting if you had tasted these separately at different times and done the ranking. Sometimes the oils, flavors brings out weird flavors in other bottles. I swear Blantons in a blind pulls out or amplifies bitter notes in other bottles.

100% agreed. Lost Monarch is a citrus bomb. I'm not a big fan of it.

If you threw Eagle Rare (10), JD Single Barrel, and Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye Recipe into the mix, how do you all feel they'd sit?
For context, the above bottles are all readily available at a similar price to Maker's 46 in the UK.
(i have a bottle of BT KRR and I've tried the other two). If Maker's 46 is better, I'll grab a bottle
I haven't had eagle Rare in over a year. Only see it on allocation which happens 4 times a year and seeing less of it now. $37 out the door then. Nothing close to that kind of deal. Blantons was $20 more and not as good.

I am a big Beam fan and yall are the first I agree on that Beam 7 is a dissapointment, it was weak and thin to me.
I bought my first bottle of JB Black 7 year today. I had high hopes due to the rave reviews on many whiskey tube channels. But it’s underwhelming to me. Makers 46 is one of my favorite value bourbons.
great blind guys. there were a ton of good one-liners, had me lol'ing several times. was also glad to see you shit on the Beam. i'm from KY and it's my least favorite "mainstream" product. i love russell, and im surprised to the makers at the top. it's good, but it's often times labeled as "too sweet" for some people.

Man I’m bummed to see Lost Monarch down there. I literally just brought home a bottle a couple days ago and told my wife I had to have it around because it’s such a great summer time whiskey! For the price OF100 is absolutely GOATed though

My pallet doesn't typically align with Bourbon Junkies (still love/support all the content) but Makers 46 and Maker 46 cask strength have always been high on my list. Side note, 46.99 for Russel's 10 is an outrage. It's like 28ish bucks in WI +/- 3.

Old Forester 100, hands down. Our BFs at BF charred the barrels to 4.5 "Dinosaur Char" to top Wild Turkey's 4 Alligator Char. Compare bottles.

Heard some more negative views on (my baby, my darling) WT101 lately, but all i've had is the old bottlings. Is there a massive difference?
I think ultimately those are all decent bottles so they are splitting hairs.

I'm surprised the Wild Turkey 101 didn't finish higher and I enjoy Russell's Reserve. I think the Old Grandad Bottled in Bond is better than the OGD 114 proof.

I tried Maker's Mark in my mid-20's, and thought it was absolutely disgusting. Haven't touched it since. I'm a week away from 43, so maybe it's time to try it again? Was Maker's actually bad in the mid 2000s, or did I just have an undeveloped palate?
