I saw Puddles on a tiny stage in a speakeasy after a Sleep No More installation in NYC years ago; I had never heard of him before and had no idea what to expect, but it was a magical moment in time I'll remember forever. The sadness of the song performance is beautifly balanced by the perfect comic acting. I don't understand why Puddles is not working in Hollywood.

I may be putting too much of myself into my analysis but whether or not you intended it, I really appreciate and enjoy your act and am so frustrated and disappointed that AGT judges completely missed the point. I don’t just see the singing alone as the performance but the costume and the muteness as all the same. To me you are in essence a personification of sorrow and melancholy. Drama’s mask of tragedy personified in human form and standing on stage for the world to hear. It resonates deeply and I wish there was more appreciation for the elegance of its simplicity. The sad clown iconography that’s integral to the emotional performance. I, like Simon have a strong clown phobia but when I see you perform I don’t see a clown. I see the embodiment of an emotion and it is truly special. Just had to get that off my chest. Thank you for all you’ve given us.

This is one of the most beautiful songs in existence, and even though its original version is already a masterpiece, Puddles' performance does justice to that perfection.
I may add that as I was listening to this, I was singing along, and for some reason tears just started streaming down my face. The "planet earth is blue and there's nothing I can do" line almost always gets me, and this time it wasn't an exception. I just want to thank Puddles for this cathartic experience.

Clearly a spectacular artist who has found their niche and a unique way to appreciate and honor other artists.

I know this was posted a long time ago but this rendition is timeless. As you might guess I'm a big fan. I don't like America's got talent because I dislike overly produced shows but when I was flipping channels I saw you for the first time. I instantly became a fan.
And as another person who posted pointed out the AGT judges missed the point of the costume. Besides that it shouldn't matter. You're an incredible talent.
Seen him in Oklahoma. And when he sang this song his smoke machine didn’t work but he played it off like it was a part of the show. Best concert I’ve ever been to so far.

+Deepak M at some point in the late 80's, early 90's, mainstream music died. See for yourself; pick some random years from the 1940's and up until present and listen to the bestsellers for each year. Even the genres you don't really like, you can see that the artists had talent and you can understand why someone would enjoy that; nothing is truly awful right up until the mid 80's. Skilled artists didn't go anywhere; there are more than ever with better tools and better modes of distribution of their work than ever; but turn on a music channel on TV or the radio and if it's not some kind of "golden oldies"-special it's just terrible. It's so terrible that I didn't think I liked music growing up; sure some video games had nice music (especially the commodore 64) but I didn't think of that as in the same category as the crap you heard on radio; and sure, some movies had good music in the bakground but that was especially made for the movie, I thought. It wasn't really until 1999 when we got 10/100 mbps fiber that it really clicked for me that music used to be good and there are still tonnes and tonnes of artists who are good toiling away somewhere completely unheard of.
That voice... the control... serious Bowie chills. Puddles fully deserves his turn to be a rock star.

I searched "Space Oddity Cover" into youtube (because it's my favorite song) and when I clicked the video I got really scared because I have been terrified of clowns ever since a childhood incident, but then you started singing and I was honestly blown away. In a kind of hard to explain way, I think you've actually helped with my fear of clowns, so thank you. :)

Saw him once in south Florida. Will go again if possible. The live performance, vocals, and show were phenomenal. I went by myself because nobody else was able to go and I have zero regrets.
