This is a Smoosh-Up I do in my traveling road show. Dennis DeYoung wrote "Come Sail Away" which was featured in a MOANA commercial. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez wrote "Let It Go" which was in Frozen. Smooshing up soundtracks is fun. So is recycling.

My wife was brought onstage at a Puddles show to air drum this song on a cruise this past summer. We loved the show, and got to chat with Puddles a bit on the ship. Great guy!

It is dubious that Styx for some reason seldom get listed as one of the great bands of the 70's but they should be somewhere near the top! Come Sail Away is a testament to their greatness and Puddles' voice was made for this song! Well done you Mad, Sad Clown!

When you someone sing and they inundate “you instead of chew” chances are somebody has worked with them. Like Pat Benatar being a opera singer at one time and the same go’s for Ann Wilson, they’re words are crisp and very clear.
The one constant in life is that it’s forever changing.
As mine draws nearer to its end I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to this man’s own personal renditions of my favorite music of all time.
Almost as if I’ve been able to re-live my past experiences both happy and sad but this time around with a completely different perspective as before.
Perhaps this also is what puddles is experiencing himself. Absent the final resolution of course.
Either way he has much to offer people with his genius performances and his unique almost perfect tonal vocalization and in ways than even he can’t possibly imagine.

One of the things that makes Puddles so good is he knows where to sing these songs for his voice. A lot of the original singers he covers have a higher range they can reach. Puddles does not try to copy those guys, in a key maybe he can't reach. he stays in his power range and just belts out these songs and makes them his own. He must have studied how to sing for quite a while to be this good. He covers so many different types of singers and just nails it every time. That is not easy at all. He makes it seem effortless, but it takes a lot of work to be this good. It is way easier if you are Ronnie James Dio singing Ronnie James Dio songs all night. When you have to jump around to different songs it is harder.

Love this! Come sail away was one of my favorite childhood songs. I would listen to that song, close my eyes and visualize a whole fantasy. I would first be a fish swimming in the depths of the ocean and as the music intensified, I would travel up from the depths of the water and burst through the water and into to air. I would continue to soar up from the ocean and climb higher into the sky and at this point I was a bird, flying freely, swiftly, and happily! Always a great memory! Thanks

The 1st thing I saw was the Gilligan's island thing, so I got the wrong idea.... I'm a musician of about 40 yrs myself, and am completely impressed by this dude. Absolutely immaculate vocals, and I absolutely love how he puts his own take on everything while not destroying the original composition or arraingements. Completely amazing musician/performer. I wish I could find talent like this to work with. Incredible.

Puddles thanks for your excellent performance "Come Sail Away," on this. As a young man I joined the United States Navy, after trails and accomplishments I reached Operations Specialist Diver, Petty Officer Second Class decorated with three Navy Achievement Medals. As I have left the Navy I took my life lessons from there and applied to civilian life. But Come Sail Away, I listened to at the bow of my ship racing u dear the Golden Gate Bridge one my first ever Deployment, so many uncertainty lay ahead the words in that song still today raise that adventurous spirit.. Sing on my man do it the Puddles way, YOU ROCK!

But what I like - and this appears to me the saving grace of this version of this clown type, which after all is a ‘heart on sleeve wearing’ creation, a construct - is the ambivalent and provocative edge in the mix.
