In this episode, we bring on Singaporean artist and illustrator for Magic: The Gathering - Julian Kok! He's brought a classic blue-white control deck headed by the one and only Grand Arbiter Augustin IV (GAAIV) and pitting it against some of our new commanders from Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. We have Shorikai, Genesis Engine, Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice, and Isshin, Two Heavens as One.

I love Zasher going "Call an ambulance but not for me" when two Grand Arbiter's were on the field. That just got me real good and it only got better from there!

Kudos to you guys for letting a stax deck play on the episode. Everyone else is too afraid of recording a game with these kinds of decks so this was really refreshing.

The huge MISPLAY banner flashing on the screen during Zansher's turn made me laugh. There were other misplays but only he gets the red banner.

I enjoyed watching Julian loose most of his life to mana crypt. It was my favorite part of the game other than maybe watching Light-Paws get its revenge.
I just like that the Julian, the control player with 2 stax effects did more damage to himself than anyone else at the table. 😂
I liked it when Zansher was pleading for his commander’s life - and then smoked everyone, even if there were two misplays!

Maybe I missed something, but isn't Transmute only able to be done at sorcery speed and couldn't be done at End Step? Teferi was gone and I don't think he allows that anyway so figured I would ask. Love the content and look forward to each video!

Transmute is an ability but it's at sorcery speed.

Great episode. It's hard to pick a favorite moment. I love that light-paws and Isshin were played and were the last ones standing. Light-paws can be so resilient its awesome!

I discovered you recently and you're really the best commander channel !
There's such an alchemy between all of you : Esmond, Gabriel, Matthew, Zansher, Paul, Liang Ying, Shu Qiao, Mc, The Chosen one, and all the others, different people but same spirit. The atmosphere is fun and you don't "overdo" like some american channels. It makes me just want to play with you guys so thanks a lot for your contents !
Again a lot of fun in this episode (the double Augustin, the mana crypt (almost) suicide, the Light-Paws "reanimator" plan, Gabriel's (non-)impact as usual (sorry)) but my favourite moment was Esmond's face when he didn't understand Zansher was attacking him.

It's always great to hear that the artists for Magic sometimes even play the game. Having 2 GAAIV on board is oppressive but manageable lol My favorite moments are every time Light-Paws was killed lol

Best moment of the game: Zansher stacking the enchantments onto light paws and then swinging lethal commander damage at Esmond while doubling his life total. He finally got to do his thing!
Absolutely great game (I was worried due to control, stax and pillow fort elements), but you guys are always so much fun! Keep up the great content!

My favorite part is the missed pro white. My buddy and I were just talking about how many rules or things that are missed and completely change game outcomes. Funny how this only messed up the last few turns.

I’ve been thinking about changing my mono-white deck’s commander to Light-Paws. I’ll want to swap some equipments for auras but I was already considering moving those equipments to the Isshin deck I’ve been working on. So it all works.
Nice! Light-Paws is super consistent and resilient but I guess rather one-dimensional. Very powerful tho!

Could be wrong but can't you only transmute as a sorcery? Even Teferi's +1 would only apply to spells cast and not a transmute ability? If I missed something please let me know.

Easy game when you don't follow the rules Zasher 😂😂. Love it. Light-Paws is so powerful. I run a Balan Voltron Equipment deck. They are my two favorite decks to play when people tell me when mono white is bad in EDH.
So is it safe to say Gabriel actually won this because of the huge misplays?

Nah, nit at all. Zansher had 90 life and could have easily enchanted another creature. He would have won anyway.
@@PraetorGix 90 life in the face of krenko double triggers and no "counter mana" with War's Toil I think could've easily turned it into Gabe's favor. That 14 damage would've never happened and he could've gone on the defensive. Plus what other creature could he had easily enchanted? I didn't see any besides the commander at the time.
