    You already convinced me to buy the Cosori AF, which I love. Now I see a Smoke Daddy in my near future.

    Great job Tom! FYI , I got my pellet pro 1190 Deluxe on Wednesday. Did the burn in today, and have a pork shoulder in the fridge waiting to be smoked tomorrow!

    I did this 5 years ago but the issue is when the fan kicks on for the pellet grill it overpowers the "venturi" effect made from the Smoke Daddy..I tried hooking up two pumps with a split Y by adding more tubes but then the chips/pellets can catch fire from to much air..I would advise against mounting it where this video shows because its added heat to close to the electronic motherboard on the smoker. maybe mine is just to outdated for what this video claims but theres just to much pressure from the smoker fan.

      Thanks for Watching! I’ve had mine for 2 years now and have mounted to other pellet grills with no problem of being over powered by the fan. You make a good point on where to mount and taking into consideration of the heat, where it was mounted in this video it did not effect the electronics of the grill. Thanks again for Watching and commenting.

    Got a question for ya, I just put the mag PIG on my pit boss and I did charcoal on the bottom along with a big chunk of apple wood then apple chips and I got like what reminded me of cigarette smoke. Any advice? It was awful

      Thanks for watching! Air was running? Waited for charcoal to ash over? You can also call or email smoke daddy with your questions

      @@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Air was on high then turned it to medium. I did just email them they said to try without the charcoal. Maybe it was the first burn and just getting all the oil burnt off. Just hoping I can figure it out.

    I'm going to order one in hopes that it will add some of that sweet lump coal flavor to my pellet grill. I'll probably order the Magnum though for longer cooks and so I don't have to keep filling the dern thing up.

    which will really give a true stick burner taste and be easiest way to accomplish this? do you get different profiles from the pellets or using chips in the kahuna?

    Thanks for the great videos Tom! Quick question for you. I am ordering the Pellet Pro 1190 tomorrow and not sure if I would rather have the Big Kahuna or the Heavy D. Which would you suggest? Thank you in advance! RJ

      Tom Horsman - Would you mind breaking down why you’d choose the Big Kahuna over the Heavy D? Thank you!

    • @TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ
      @TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly temp control The Heavy D brings the heat into the cooking chamber sometimes making low and slow more of a challenge as opposed to the Cold smoker which has the heat source outside the cooking chamber. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again for Watching!

      @@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Would you still recommend some sort of heavy heat diffusor in a pellet grill that doesn't have one already? Like a Pit Boss?
