    Justin moreno. I've used my magnum pig for about 20 smokes now on my Traeger. Briskits, pork shoulder, chicken wings, steak......you name it. You are not running it correctly if you have a problem. JMHO

    Thanks Dennis the Smoke Daddy kahona does it's job with cold smoking cheese and salmon and adding smoke flavor to a steak or bratwurst. Using Malple or Cherry or even Grapevine for lamb and Apple wood for Chicken or Cheese. The wood does enhanced the flavor of food. Thanks Again, B.C.

      But the smoke doesn't look clean does it give the meats a sour taste or can you tell like blue clean smoke

    Get 8-10 charcoal pieces smoking hot then put in cold smoker. Add chips every hour after. It’s not set it and forget but if you can smoke like that for 3-4 hours beer included it’s amazing what bark you get on pellet grill

    The spring is to provide extra air flow when using small wood chips or pellets. I recommend using charcoal wood chunks and wood chips for the best quality of smoke. Make sure it is burning hot, this will give you a true wood smoke. Also it is in the first 2 to 3 hrs that you want to apply a lot of smoke. After the meat gets to 140 it will not absorb any more smoke. If you continue to add heavy smoke you can over smoke your food. Keep your vents open

      All you need is a small aquarium pump that is good for a 30 to 40 gallon tank.

    Hi Dennis, I live in the UK, and buying just an air pump from Smoke Daddy is proving to be too expensive. Could you plz recommend an equivalent one with the same power (Watts or per litre air flow rate) i could buy a 3rd party one۔ thanks.

    Im curious Dennis....can you install the cold smoke generator on the other side of the grill? If not, why not? Thanks.

      Most likely because the smoke stack is on that side and the smoke would go right up the chimney.

    i was woundering what that spring was for, didn't see it on the instructions but i didn't get the wire brush on my order :(

      justin moreno, the spring is a chimney. It helps get the smoke from the bottom to the top so that it can be blown into your grill, or what ever you are using to smoke your food in. Hope this helps?

      The smoke isn't "dirty grey smoke" once you let the embers die down and you adjust your air pump.

    I wouldn't use that stainless steel brush to poke around in the fire with. I would go to the dollar store and get some cheap metal skewers. they would be cheaper then that stainless steel brush and will last a lot longer.

    I have a smoke daddy cold smoke generator i tried everything to get it to work on my pellet smoker it's not working in even tried to put the lump charcoal in a chimney it doesn't work with a pellet grill I'm very upset

      When you say "tried everything" how is it not working for you ? Do you light it and then it goes out or what ? I have owned 2 units so far and they work fine. The operating principle of the unit is very simple. I have seen some people reverse the lids and put the bottom one (with the 4 holes) on top and vice versa and that won't work, in fact it will snuff the fire because of no bottom draft. Elaborate more on what it's NOT doing and I'll try to help.

    1. Can the Magnum be filled only half way or even one quarter of the way?
    2. And if so does less fuel in the large chamber affect smoke quaity or flow or anything like that?

      Yes you can fill it half way and you will get the same quality of smoke and flow

    I messed up my smoker with this contraption I drilled a hole in my pellet grill this is just a gimmick

    i have used this twice and hate it. the smoke daddy doesn't provide a clean smoke. it leaves a black tar all inside my smoker and meat.

      Hi
      I recommend using wood chunks and large wood chips. If you use all pellets or small wood shavings you will not get a good hot burn and this causes the black tar build up. Getting a hot burn will give you the best quality of smoke and reduce the tar build up. A hot burn and dry wood is the key for a quality smoke.
