    You remind me of my friend. She always had a baby on her hip while she works throughout her day. She had 6 little ones. They are grown now and she didn’t know what to do. She loves the little ones so much. Grandchildren are starting to come now 😂 Thank you for all your hard work and teaching us. You are truly blessed.

    Add orange oil, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, and stevia or monk sugar. The kids will devour it like candy! Also know that the 170 temp will destroy the probiotic of the kefir. An air fryer that sets to 105 makes a great dehydrator! Its faster and can hold a lot if it’s stirred every once in a while. Great video Marisa!

      @@BumblebeeApothecary Actually soaking and fermenting are 2 difference processes, fermenting generally increase the probotic action and soaking reduces the so called antitoxins levels. There not actually anti anything; just if you eat a lot of certain food types you may be getting too much of a certain acid (phytic acid)which by the way has anti toxin actions an reduces the risk of certain cancer and bind well with iron especislly if you eat too much red meat and your getting on a bit. cons and pros =balance diet; avoid wheat,sugar and trans fats, fast food ect. fruit should be eaten first on an empty stomarch. all flour based/grains/seeds and beans contain phytic acid it dsoent make it bad but if you eat alot of these foods/ consider food seperation for digestion purposes and fermenting and soaking. But please do not get obsessed I stop eating grains daily but I still indulged everyone individual and have different tolerances to different food types so self assessment is advised.
      Again a treat now and then is not going to shorten your life or kill you but fermented foods in general are very good for your microbiome keep it healthy and your a lot less likely to get long term inflamation based disease. no guarantees.
      or if you have!change your diet and lifstyle before resorting to a life of medication, pain and low mood( Unless you relish pain and misery).
      apologise but I do like a rant hehe.
      hope that helpful.
      ps organics are safer and more nutrious according to DR William Li the bugs help tougen up the plants which make them humm healthier.

    In the cookbook I have it just talks about soaking in salt water and then dehydrating. Does that help? The yogurt I make right now is coconut cream yogurt as I have had a dairy problem and haven't tried to test out the fresh whey.

    • @BumblebeeApothecary

    I got so excited finding this, but got so disappointed when you added whey, because that is something I cannot get. And also, I’m plant based, so it’s also something I’d like to avoid. BUT, I do have some probiotics which usually is my go-to when I make my homemade coconut milk yoghurt. Could I add one or two of those capsules (the inside of, of course, not whole capsules)??? Do you think that would work? PS! I am planning on making a chocolate spread with the almonds. A nut butter is the start, then you add cacao (I may use carob instead, just because I love that milder chocolate flavor), sweetener (honey or whatever you like, I guess)… Sounds sooo good!!! Thanks a lot!!! 🤗❤❤❤

      Lemon or vinegar, just a salt also works. Whey can be the liquid on the top of your container of yogurt.

      Lemon, vinegar, and salt won't ferment nut like whey will, but they will help with soaking :)

      I get whey from homemade yogurt or kefir. You can scoop some out if you see it in the jar, or you can strain it from yogurt in a colander lined with cheesecloth :)

    6:40 Do NOT let your kids stick their hands into the food processor like this little guy did a few times, the knife is super sharp and an accident can easily happen. Actually a woman I know had a little mishap with her food processor knife and ended out with 7 stitches (and the forever scar) to remind her forever to be careful with food processor knives!!! 🤗❤❤❤

    Do you buy your whey as a liquid or is it a powder first??

      I make whey by dripping homemade yogurt or kefir :) Whey powders are highly processed and not recommended.

    I saw that you use whey, but I am truly unaware of this aside from seeing it in protein powder. where do you get it or do you make it?

    • @emmypoole2636
      @emmypoole2636 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Whey is a byproduct of making kefir and yogurt when they seperate. You could probably collect some from store-bought plain non greek yogurt (greek yogurt already has most of the whey strained out.) Have you ever noticed on yogurt there is sometimes a thin watery, sometimes yellow tinted fluid on top? that's whey! If you see that on your yogurt, pour it into a small jar and you can use it to ferment your nuts.

      @@emmypoole2636 Thanks for getting back to me, when I looked further into it, I was told that greek yogurt has the most whey & that's why the protein is higher in that yogurt than others. I totally know the watery stuff you're speaking of :) I did see a lot more in the greek yogurt, but some greek yogurt that is low in protein, I would assume doesn't have as much whey. If I'm correct, more protein, more whey :)

    • @wendymtzc
      @wendymtzc ปีที่แล้ว

      Buy a good quality yogurt with live probiotics and strain it, just get a regular one, not the greek one because you won’t get any whey from that.

    Do you think is necessary to peel the skin of almonds to make them more digestible?

  • @bonnie_gail
    @bonnie_gail ปีที่แล้ว

    how exactly is it easier to digest with mounds of coconut oil added? now my almond butter tastes more like coconut butter and not almond butter - it infuses the entire butter and it's gross; and yes, I used organic extra virgin coconut oil - I am trying to use less oil in my diet, I didn't watch the entire video before making which was a big mistake - I did like the fermented nuts and I thank you for that recipe but I like the recipe where the person just makes almond butter in their blender (Vitamix) and nothing added, only almonds
