You made a good choice. I recently bought the Royal Enfield Himalayan and having buyer's remorse. I should've got the TW200.

Favorite lines from the video. "Just got to watch out for a**holes" & "got 2 birds stoned". Great video man

My TW200 climbed an alpine foot path on damp dirt, over a talus
slope, but the knobby failed to climb ice entry into a glacier cave.
It did roll around upon cold lava flow upon an active volcano.
Helping me discover lava tube entry locations.

@@jcee2259 the rear tyre is the weakest point, not great on slimy mud. I put a Michelin AC10 on the front (proper nobbile) and it works great, I expected poor road handling but in fact it work perfectly well and off road the front is very stable in all conditions.

Well said. Consider joining : Canyon Riders M/C.
They got my ride out of an off-road accident site
that no commercial operator offered to attempt.
Members are issued M/C gold/red embroidery.

Consider exploring vacated railroads. Usually found
Google Earth. Often available free for 2 hours daily
at a municipal public library. Google the Eagle
Mountain Railway, for starters. Rail-sled riders
offer views of more locations. So did a Russian
Hobo named Vaga Bond of an island railway built
by Imperial Japan. Which Russia captured in WW2.

To repeat another 37,000 miles on both dirt byways and USA Interstate
I'd want it entirely colored white. With 2 inch wide adhesive-backed white
reflective tape upon front fender, fuel tank, and headlamp housing to feel
safe again. Rear rack helped port side carry of 14 inch timber saw in a
white scabbard and starboard carry of a small D-handle shovel as both
tools attended speleological excavation interests. Which describes my
2008 Suzuki DR650SE outfit preferences today.

The TW brought me to the dual sport world. My buddy has a TW and let me ride it... Now I own a WR250F. How many miles have you put on it so far?

    • @jcee2259
      @jcee2259 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since you own a WR250F I recommend looking at TH-cam single-track video.
Titled: VEDDER MOUNTAIN, Single-track. Canadian maintained, free all seasons,
with posted routes for different types of off-road recreation. Up to 3 Red Bars
as denoted so only expert riders go past to dare steep ride hazards. For me,
the travel there is 90 minutes on a fast International Border crossing, Bring
      10. 2 oz aerosol bear pepper spray (hip holstered) so you can get to it fast...

Those Yamaha engines are built to last you can rev them up pretty high just check the valve clearances every 5,000 miles change the oil and change the spark plug, oil filter and clean air filter that bike will last forever

    Perfect reason to buy New.
Previous owner doesn't read owners manual and go through proper "break in" procedure.

    • @NotUpdated005
      @NotUpdated005 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The TW200 is a freakin GOAT... just barely change the oil and it'll run for your grandkids ~ Go watch the Fortnine break in video - it's over rated... Just change the oil every 250 until 750 then go for 1k 3 times, then you're good for 2k or a season for life.

I actually thought the video gave me a great feel for the bike but I understand it may not have addressed your needs. . I could observe the terrain and then listen to the engine and tell how strong this bike was. Better than I thought. BTW, understand our perspective is different maybe because I'm almost 66. I started riding over 50 years ago and I am now thinking of a Tdub.
