Tape trick helped a lot for those rear dome lights! But I have a trick for you... Instead of the pliers and dripping bulbs inside the front dome light assembly, the white lens over the dome lights is a service panel. Pop that off instead of having to wrestle those fuse-shaped bulbs in there upside down. So much faster.
Thank you very much. Followed your video and succeeded with the front dome, maps, and vanity. The ones at the back seat lights though. There are 2 lights there and my other one that was without the cone went through the hole. Do you know how to take out the whole light assembly? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks
If your vehicle comes with stock halogen footwell lights, it would require this bulb here: www.precisionled.com/premium-t10-canbus-6smd-5730-led.html The installation process should be very similar, if not identical, to the other light installations in the video.
You can, and you definitely should do it that way! I spent a good hour trying to do it from above with the pliers and the bulb kept on slipping out and getting lost inside the console. When I removed the plastic cover and did it from below it took 2 mins! Well done Gerardo! Precision LED what about a written message at the point in the video to suggest that? Incidentally the rest of the video was extremely helpful, so thank you Precision!
Unfortunately, we do not have an install video for your vehicle just yet, as we have not yet gotten our hands on one out here in Los Angeles, CA. However, the installation process is virtually the same for all vehicles. The halogen bulbs are very easy to access with our trim took kit, which comes complimentary with all of our interior LED packages. I would recommend having a watch on some of our other DIY videos, and you will gain a general knowledge of how LEDs are installed.
Hi Phil, I changed out the interior halogen bulbs with LEDs and noticed that my right rear passenger map light isnt working but the dome light is fine. At first I thought the halogen bulb was blown, but I tried with the extra bulbs both halogen and led that I got but still aint working. Is this to do with the circuit board or wiring? Do I need to do a complete housing replacement? Help!
Hi Jeffrey, check to make sure that when you insert either a halogen bulb or LED you are making contact with the pins in the housing that provide power. It is possible that when installing the LED those contact pins got pushed out of place. The entire interior is one circuit, so if a light works inside, the others should work too.
It is best to measure out your halogen bulb. If the 41mm bulb is a tight fitment, you may want to change to a 39mm (www.precisionled.com/premium-festoon-39mm-canbus-3smd-5730-led.html) or 36mm (www.precisionled.com/premium-festoon-36mm-canbus-3smd-5730-led.html).
We will keep an eye out for a 2015 Q3 out here in Los Angeles for an installation video. However, the installation process is virtually the same for all vehicles. Great point with rear lights and the tape.

Did you ever figure this out. I accidently pushed the one dome light in and don’t wanna break the housing trying to get it out lol
Very clear explanation! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
How about the footwell lights? Do you have replacement and can you show how to replace?

the console lights, you can remove the plastic cover to replace the two long LEDs (you used pliers) instead of removing the entire console
We appreciate the input, thanks for the tip!

Why no interior light automatically ON and OFF when we open door? How to set up.
What size are the led bulbs ?
Does it work on a Q5 2010?
Are these can bus error free or dose it matter if they are not
Yes, we only sell high quality Canbus LEDs to ensure you do not experience any dash errors, flickering, or other issues with your LEDs.
Can you make a video of Audi Q7 2010 interior LED ?

Flip the globe the other way. What he doesn't explain is the the LED globes rely on polarity to work.

@XXB4XX That is a good possibility but if the halogen bulb doesn't work then polarity is not the issue. Thanks for commenting and helping out!
Does it work the same for a 2015 Q7? Would like to replace mine.
The installation process would be very similar, if not identical.
What about the glove box?
The glove box installation would be similar to the other lights in the video, just use one of the interior trim tools to access the bulb!
What is the middle console dome light size? I got one 41mm, and its impossible to make it fit. Do I need 36mm?

Thanx but my problem is that my interior dome and rear light are yellow led the dome has lenses and I want it cool white
Unfortunately, if your vehicle comes with stock LEDs for your dome and rear light, you cannot swap them as they would be soldered to a chip and board.
wrench? wow..
Rrespekt
Thanks for tuning in!
