Worth every dollar lads. I put mine in last august and it’s been running smick. SOO many options to choose from.
YOUR VIDEO IS BY FAR THE BEST. INSTALLING RS NAV 12.3 IN SCREEN AND I COULDNT FIND THE CONNECTIONS FOR AUDIO UNTIL I SEEN YOU DISCONNECT THE RED CLIP AND I WAS LIKW "DUH" AND I HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH FACTORY REVERESE CAMERA. WENT TO SETTINGS AND TURNED IT ON. LOL, THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO.
Man I can't thank enough! What a life saver! 4x4 sucks with their videos on how to install! For ppl asking how to change the car to a SUV. Click on the car and it will take you to General settings. Once in there, scroll down and you will see the option to select SUV. BAMMM the Suv will show up.
Another awesome Android screen install. It's amazing how some aftermarket products provide so much more and looks better than OEM. 👍
Just wondering if you have installed a 12.3 in an SQ5 and how the size is? Is it too bulky compared to the 10.25?

I just fitted one in my q5 2015 for now no issues, small problem with airbag light (hazard light baton non Europe) and I can’t connect Wi-Fi but probably it’s my fault

Hello, really helpfull video here , i just installed mine and i see there is the airbag light on how can i fix that ? I connect both buttons the original also the other one also it turns on the redlight of the airbag on the dash ?

Hi I have a 2014 sq5 , the camera image is really poor when reversing, we also noticed this on our q3.
My question is this, will this screen improve the quality of the reverse image or do I need to get away from the oem camera too?

I tried installing a screen like this and it didn’t turn on but after seeing your video I realised that I forgot to plug in the red cable under the glove box.
Is this cable responsible for the power supply? Do you think that’s the reason why the screen didn’t turn on?

Can you please share what exactly you had to plug into the MMI to get the sound working? Was it an additional aux cord, if so, where did that plug into? I am having trouble with my sound. I had initially plugged in an aux cord from the MMI in the glove box to the mic input. The sound worked for a bit but the mic didn’t and now all the sound is off.

I have a Audi Q5 with the Concert Set up and AMI. My system won't show the Audi system at all on the Android screen. After watching this video I am thinking maybe my car is sort of a hybrid and I need to find the CAM Junction `thing and connect in the glove box. After watching another of your videos I thought I need to connect to my climate controls but my wires don't match the climate plugs.
Great video however a couple of issues uk users might be experiencing...1) the canbus for me was actually behind the air conditioning unit and not the passengers airbag. 2) the input option is not available in the settings ( Im currently trying to find a fix) so at moment without sound.
For anyone wondering how to access and enable aux, if its not there in the original mmi menu you're going to need to flash a script ( can download file from one of forums for free or pay for it) using an sd card. This will allow you to get into the green screen and enable it from there. I think it's under personalisation. Hope this helps someone.

Once installed and set up does it function seamlessly? Wanted to install this on my wife’s car but I wasn’t sure if it would be buggy and require troubleshooting.
I bought this screen for my Audi Q5 2013 and the back up camera works and then not works. is there a software update date. It has been working perfectly for over a year and now it doesn’t come on at all
Thanks for the tutorial mate. Installed the same kit in 2011 q5 mmi 3G but reverse/traction control buttons don’t work. Camera works fine in reverse…any ideas?
Does this use the OEM microphone when answering a phone call?
After setting the Audi Media to except external source. Does the car's MMI system know to automatically switch to the AMI interface when audio signal is detected (since the AMI is acting as an "aux in" for capturing the Android unit's audio out signal)? Example - if I'm listening to the car's built-in Audi radio, and then want to stream Spotify from the head unit (via wireless AndroidAuto or Carplay). Does the Audi MMI know to automatically switch the audio source to the AMI audio. Or do I always need to press the Media button on the car's console first, for it to switch to the AMI audio signal? Great video by the way.

Will this boot to CarPlay automatically when the car starts? I only use CarPlay so would like it to always boot to CarPlay
Thanks for the video man, one thing that wasn't covered... if you're using Carplay or Android Auto and select reverse gear, does the reverse camera override what is on the screen and pop up? As it usually would on the OEM screen? TIA
Yes it does and then reverts back to whatever screen you were on

Good day, is it possible to remove the back of the multimedia, I mean to disassemble it, so that you can reach to the inside of the display to clean all the dust there?

If Android Auto, how do we get the latest updates from Google? Is it all via phone and then connected via USB?

Hey Nathan, received my unit to the Uk and installed over the weekend. One thing I noticed was that i wasn't supplied the adapter to go from the old hazard cable which is black to the new cable connector on the screen mount hazard which is a small white connector. Should i have been supplied something?
Hi. I was wondering if u could help me ? I've just installed a unit just like this. The only thing is am not getting no sound through the unit. I went into source and went down to external audio input and it says not supported. Tried to connect the bluetooth sound through it and youtube no sound coming through. Can you help me with the problem ? I've got Audi q5 2009 high end system with sat nav on it. Thanks.
What exactly did you connect to the AMI in order to get the sound working? Was it an AMI to aux adapter and then you connected the aux to the screen somehow?? Please help

Installed this stereo system in a 2011 Audi A4 having a problem with 4G data SIM card not working Don't know if there are settings that I have to do or should it automatically work when you put the SIM card in the stereo system has been a headache...

I just purchased this product but when I got to the junction part mine came with 9 pins but my Audi has 10 pins. Is there a work around that ?

My car doesn't have a sim card, will this system add that functionality or does it rely on your smartphone.
Just flicks you back to OEM camera.

Yes to software updates.
Yes to SIM card but you can also use your phone if you wish.

I've bought this set for my 2007 s5 but my head unit has cd changer on it, not multimedia, it says compatible on the website but the cable is different, my headunit dousnt have a quadlock cable coming out of the unit, its a different cable, what do I do now? 😢

I have one issue with my install though, when I’ve connected my AMI with the AUX cable, I’m only getting sound on the left side of my car (my car is right hand drive). I’ve reset the sound balance to centre, I’ve double checked the settings and the accessibility settings are all correct. I’ve even tried taking out the AMI port and giving it a blow like a Nintendo cartridge and that hasn’t worked.
Could it be the aux cable is faulty? I don’t know if it would be faulty as it’s new and I’ve rotated the connectors cos sometimes you can hear the aux jack fix itself, but that didn’t make a difference to the sound whilst it was playing.
Can anyone help with the issue?
Does Radio works of the original MMI works normally? I had the issue in the past that the car thought I replaced the radiosystem with one not registered on the car. Had to delete the error and it did not reaapear. Check errors for multimedia via obdeleven or vcds :)

@@dada13D had to take it to electrition and he connected new wire from Ignition fuse box to the system and it is fine after that.
u must check bluetooth audio work fine after that, I had to go again and paid again.( check u tube sound is coming from car speakers).

My 10.25 in. System came with a gps Y connection the extended the wire up to the new display while still allowing the oem system to be connected.
Does it work flawless or jumping Arrow in navigation?
Question is the price on the site actually AUD or does it change after checkout I swapped to USD before adding to cart but it goes back.
the site shows USD and goes back to AUD but you are being charged the same. IE $500USD is the equivalent of $664 AUD just google it, so you are not charged more. If you are in the states its the USD pricing..

My 2017 Q5 also has the passenger side airbag notification next to the hazard switch. I am ready to install the 10.25" screen but I see no mention about the airbag on the video. Should I worry about the airbag going off in case I try the removal with battery connected?

@@cihados You will need to double check your connections. I did not run into this problem.
Since the fan mode and speed and such display on the factory screen, how does that interface if you have CarPlay up? Does it interrupt CarPlay and audio every time you adjust climate? I’ve yet to see a video that explains it

I installed yesterday and it keeps telling me no signal on start up. The cars regular radio works and appears on the screen. I unplugged it a couple of times and it worked then I shut the car off and it stopped working again. Any help would be appreciated.

nope! genuine camera will just work as normal.

Yep, do a reset on your phone and check the cable.
