I already use a large frame to make rugs with a different tool but the "grips" don't look like the ones I used to build mine (they're basically the things you buy to install some carpet in a home, like strips of wood with nails for the carpet to grip onto). Could you tell me more about this when you have the time? Thanks so much!
I got the gripper frame from Amy Oxford amyoxford.com/products/oxford-gripper-strip-lap-frames the same person who created the punch needle too. I honestly think it's the best for punching, but they are a bit pricey and I believe she sells the grippers and you can make your own.

Well I commented faster than what it took for my brain to realise that there is a thing simply called "gripper strip" :P anyways haha
