I have actually acquired two shipments of these blades for resale, but they failed quality control. I have another shipment on its way currently, hopefully with the correct quality. Problem was that only half of them were cut to the required width, and half were to big, not by much, but enough that I wouldn't use them. So with that, if im selling it as something I personally use. I want it to be exactly what its portrayed to be. Not a cheap imitation. I will make an update video as soon as they are available on amazon. =)
i do have another video, but also on that note, underfill/overfill/coatings ect are all the same just different hardnesses and formulas and all require different levels of dineese. th-cam.com/video/3YhWlqL7Vx4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Justin! I bought a bulk lot of vintage Dumont tweezers one time that had a pair that had one tip broken off around an 1/8" back. I started to put it in my get to later box and then thought about using it for removing conformal coating. So I sharpened up the good tip real sharp, and it works great!
Just an UPDATE for all who have contacted me about the blades. They are in my hands, and being inspected for quality, counted and repackaged for amazon as we speak. They should be in the mail to Amazon FBA in the next day or so!
dude great videos. just subscribed after your third video. do you plan to record a flex pcb repair? I wasn't even able to fix one even once with my attempts.
I am using similar techniques on component removal for circuit boards. I work on IC'S/component removal for repair and reball daily. Any suggestions for an adhesive remover or liquid/ adhesive removal from the IC ??? Thanks
All the chemicals out there will cause nerve damage and lung damage. So I don’t use them. Gota do it the hard way it seems for now. Unless you want nasty chemicals. Then China is full of them.
Iv determined that I have had this scope for so long that it is forever going to be loose when moved around. So it distorts the image when the head leans. =(
I use the same lens as everyone else for this type of work. there is not many alternatives =D what channel? Ill go look into it. But i do know for sure my scope is def and old workhorse. It gets really loose at times =(
I went and checked him out, i actually have both the manual and fixed focus .50 and .37 from that company. i have the same issue across the board. Iv been contemplating picking up a new scope anyway, mines about bit the dust as much as i move it around lol but i really appreciate you taking the time to try and help. I def would like to correct the issue at some point lol
TheArtofRepair I had the same issue with both of those. the only one that is even across the board is the one thst starts with sz in the model number of the adapter which is much shorter and only fits certain microscopes since they change the trinocular port design all the time just to be annoying.
I am currently sourcing large quantities of these to make available, they are available in most cheap "hobby knife" kits on aliexpress. If you can give me a few days they will be available for purchase from the Art of Repair. =)
underfil serves 2 purproses. #1 it helps the IC that is underfilled rise in temperature pretty close to the same rate the PC board below does. This protects the part from thermal differences which can weaken the joints. #2 its there for shock absorption as well.
sweet blades, let us know when they are available, just went to amazon but couldn't find them. thanks, great videos man.

Is that really underfill when it's *over* the components? Do you have a video showing how to treat underfill that sits under a chip?

TheArtofRepair Hello Justin. Can you make a video on how you record your videos please? Thanks!
These are in the pipeline, no worries brother!
nicely done justin. quick question about you scope camera always seems out of focus on bottom ?
Iv determined that I have had this scope for so long that it is forever going to be loose when moved around. So it distorts the image when the head leans. =(
dunno there is a TH-cam video guy had same problem with focus ended up being a specific lens..

Any link for the Chinese blade mentioned?

Sounds good, thx
Amazon: YoCoo Professional Stainless Steel Precision Knife
TheArtofRepair but will you ship to the UK, if not can I have a link to your supplier please?
This is definitely not the same blade at all, and is much thicker.
Why does this Apple-specific term "underfill" exist? To me it just looks like yet another type of tacky glue/adhesive we find on boards. 🤔

@@billbubnis3128 Nifty! Thank you for the explanation. 👍
