Over here in the UK, Royal Enfields are getting extremely popular and rightly so! I go to a lot of rallies, runs and meets and there seem to be more and more, from Bullets to Interceptors, young and old riders. I think it's fantastic! The 500 EFI Bullet in black is my personal favourite. The new BSA Gold Star is pretty awesome too!
Searching Classic 500's on Cycle trader pointed me to Baxter Cycles and I've been salivating over this one for a month or so now. They also have an army green one, too, which also looks fantastic. What a treat to see you riding and reviewing this one. As a Classic 350 Owner, I am drawn to the 500 and what reviewers say about it being torquey in comparison, and having even more character than the 350's. I really should make a trip to Iowa with a trailer... :) Thanks for the review, Fuzzy! Well done!
I think they have two Classic 500 in Military Green. I rode one of them. Here is the link to it: th-cam.com/video/NHN80wr1a48/w-d-xo.html. A trip to Baxter's is worth it from anywhere even if all one gets is a t-shirt. The place is great. Wahoo! PS I may have a biased opinion :)
Royal Enfield is a Indian company owned by Eicher Group. It is very good to see you giving a detailed analysisn of this bike. But back in India it is called Bullet 350/500 instead of classic.
I'd say the 500 has a bunch more character...you'd probably want to wear glove on most rides. Would really love to put a hundred miles on one and see how it does against the 350. The 350 feels lighter, it's not, is lower and way smoother. The 500 has a bunch more power/torque and this one in particular sounds great. If I had to buy one or the other today I'm guessing the 350 would win out. However, I have not rode that beautiful 500 on a long run...yet. Wahoo! PS Great question.
350 Classic is way more refined that its 500 big brother. Two different bikes but 350 is a much more modern machine. I own a 500 and it reminds of the older Bullets 350s. 500 for character but 350 is better built. I am torn but sticking to my 500.
You mentioned that if you're a fan of British motorcycles, then a visit to the Midwest was in order. But Royal Enfield isn't a British bike and hasn't been for years, decades, right?
Im down sizing from my Vulcan VN900 to the little 350 classic in chrome red as I want to get back to pure biking. Im bored with gadget ladened totally characterless machines
I have a Classic 500 in this very color! It is a hoot to ride. I can't imagine ever selling it.
I just put about 110 miles on a bike just like this one yesterday. Great machine. Wahoo!
What a gorgeous 500 classic Fuzzy!
I dig that color scheme also.
The thing is beautiful and an absolute hoot to ride. Wahoo!

Every time I Ride Royal Enfield I Fall in Love again. Each model has its own zing and charm. Wahoo! PS I love that pipe too :-)

Very good motorcycle!
Looks like a motorcycle should - nice!
Loads of fun. Wahoo!
Starkes Motorrad. Leider so Deutschland nicht erhältlich. Stimmt das?
@@CL500TT Es ist ein tolles Motorrad. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es in Deutschland verfügbar ist.
What's your opinion on these 500s compared to the new 350 Classic? I hear the 500 has a little more "character".

Mustard colour is very popular.
Wahoo.
She is a beauty :-)

Your right. Come visit anyway. Wahoo!
Wish they would bore out the current, new, classic 350 to a 500.
That would be great...in the mean while Hitchcocks is suppose to have a new cam for it. Wahoo!
looks like gta sa
WAHOO

I've been bitten by the Classic 350 bug myself. A truly wonderful, back to the art of motorcycle riding, bike. You'll love it. Wahoo!
Not a 2017. They had a rear disc brake, and a spin on gas cap.
Wahoo!
