Here in Germany there are a lot of parts on the Autobahn without a speedlimit, you can go 300-40kmh no problem. To be honest that is nothing I could enjoy. Ride don't race! Enjoy the landscape don't just rev your bike like there is no tomorrow. I am having so much fun on my RE Int 650 that many of my BMW friends envy me. Even when we take a break and park the bikes people come over to ask me about my RE but they don't even notice the BMWs.

I think over here the craze about bigger engines has only started in the past couple of decades. Until then it was quite normal to ride couple of days trips around in 125-350cc bikes, which were most commonly available too.

I bought a Classic 350 a couple of months ago. I bought it give me a change up from my Harley Sportster 1200. I thought for the price of $4700 it would pretty much be like a junk Chinese bike. I was wrong, the Indians are light years beyond the Chinese in making bikes. The bikes are well built and not cheap feeling at all except for a few small plastic pieces. The ride is amazing and actually puts my Harley to shame. You’re not going to win a lot of stoplight races, but it is a blast to ride.

The other similar bike is the "Meteor", not Metro, but who cares :)
These are fantastic bikes. I was expecting a H-D guy to really diss this, but happy that you see the real value in the this bike. You literally can't go anywhere without a long conversation starting, and the joy in other's faces makes it even more fun.

no traction control on the Himalayan, but the rear wheel abs can be switched off... style of bike is a typical English motorcycle from 1940's - 1950's, India brought the license to build them in India mainly for the Indian Army, and have been making them since.... this is really a new bike made to look like, sound like and ride like the original machines. The top speed is actually limited (75 mph I think?) to adhere to some motorcycle size/speed standard they have in India. I'm not sure why they left that limiter on the ECU for export models. Also they're all built to Euro 5 emissions standards which choke the power a bit. I'm sure you could get some of that power back with decatting, air filter, etc if you wanted. Honestly they're not really freeway bikes, they really shine on country roads.
