    In canada, the 1.5T is only standard on the Touring (EX actually doesn't have turbo), the Sport trim is actually higher than the EX (and therefore there is a sunroof for that trim), and blind spot monitoring is standard on all trim levels. There is heated rear seats only on the touring, and the heated steering wheel is actually standard on all but the base trim.

      The right color and rims, accessories will make it still look hot. I got the sport in black,, with 18 inch black rims. It turns heads. Stylish,, expensive looking, yet sporty.

  • @marcmcphee
    @marcmcphee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You are correct. Us Canadians still get the heated steering wheel and rear seats (at least on the Touring)…we also only get the 1.5T on the Touring. All other trims get the 2.0. Main reason I went for the Touring (should be here in August, fingers crossed).

    Honda is trying to sway from a boy racer Civic and make it a more mature, premium sedan except of course the SI trim. Wonder how the young buyers of last generation will take to this more mature looking model.

    This is my car! After driving an ‘02 Civic LX for 18 years, I REALLY needed a new(er) car. I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring in January 2023 and really love it. Mine is meteorite metallic gray with a two-tone black/gray interior. (Well, Honda calls it gray but it looks ivory to me.) I didn’t care at all for the racer boy look of the 10th gen, but I love the understated exterior and semi-luxury interior of the 11th gen. Honda absolutely knocked it out of the park with the redesign! Overall, a very classy and polished look. My only real gripe is they keep making it bigger! I’m barely 4’11”. I need a small car! The new Civics barely qualify as a compact car anymore.

    Bought a Touring model a couple mi than ago. Total fun drive. Gas economy has been great. My only complaints are the infotainment system when you start up the car is SLOW AS MOLASSES. IT MAY TAKE UP TO 5 mins or so for the system to to be usable. Second complaint is every time I get in the car the chime gets the tune The Rose by Bette Midler stuck in my head. 😂

    The Civic is a lot like HS athletes. They begin freshman year as the smallest player on the team with limited playing time. Each year they grow bigger. By their senior year they're nearly the size of their cousin who's a defensive back for Notre Dame.

    I went to see 2022 Honda Civic Touring. That's only model they have in the showroom. I walked around the car and sat inside the car. It's nice car inside and outside but i did feel the "WOW factor". Its pricey for a little Touring model. Sticker price is almost $30k and with destination it put over $30k. For this price, i could buy Brand New 2021 Honda Accord LX or 2021 Toyota Camry LE with more room and more horsepower than this new Civic and save me $5k in return. The only reason why i would buy Civic is because its small compare to Accord or Camry.

    BUYER BEWARE As the original owner of a 2008 Honda Civic that was never involved in any collisions and meticulously had car serviced for all routine maintenance at Honda dealership where I purchased car, I will never buy Honda again. According to Honda, I paid over $9,000 over the years for routine maintenance. At 117,000 miles, the engine block cracked and antifreeze leaked out. Engine block crack is a known defect in Honda Civics like mine and warranty was extended to 10 years from purchase date. Honda Dealership service quoted me $8,000 to repair Honda’s engine defect. I expected a Honda Civic to last longer than 117k miles but the car is essentially totaled. 10 year extended warranty expires around the time the engine block cracks. How convenient for Honda. Honda should have issued a recall for the known defect in their engines but instead, decided to screw over the vehicle owners. As a loyal Honda customer, American Honda Corporation offered me a $250 Honda credit which I declined. In my opinion and based on my experience, Honda is JUNK.

    The good thing in this model is they got rid of the cartoonish design from the previous generation.
    But that aside I don't really care much about the electronics and accessories. I look mainly at the drivetrain.
    Honda got rid of their V6 and they are still using CVT !! To me that's a deal breaker and that's why I'm out. The paint and material also feels really cheaper in the recent 10 years.
    I'd look at other brands that offer better value for the money.
