  • In this video I’m gonna walk around a GMC dealership and see how expensive are these cars at dealerships actually not online what are they actually cost and wow was it interesting? Nearly all of them were over $100,000 really crazy and there’s even one truck that’s been there nearly 2 years sitting on the car lot.

What I would give to get my 1995 Chevy S-10 back again with the 4.3 L V6 half ton 5 speed manual that I paid $15,500 for it brand new off the lot. It was a small truck, but for what it was it was it was a beast. I drove that thing to 85,000 miles completely trouble free when I sold it as that's back when Chevy was a decent car manufacturer, but today I stick with Toyota.

“Float” is the operative word there! To float the floor plan basically means the unit they sell today will pay off the floor plan for the unit they sold yesterday. Or more than likely it’ll pay for a unit sold last week! That’s probably happening with every single dealer in every single industry that utilizes the dealership/floorplan “pay as sold” model in this economy.

Our next vehicle will continue to be Honda. Vehicles are the worst financial investment you could ever make and the goal is not to spend 6 figures on a vehicle with known recall issues. When I see vehicles priced over $100K, it makes me wonder if we’ve all lost our minds. A $100K for a vehicle? Are these things driving themselves to work and making breakfast while they’re at it? The only logical explanation must be that manufacturers are testing just how much they can gouge consumers before we collectively snap. The idea that someone could justify spending that kind of money on a car that’s going to depreciate the moment it leaves the lot is absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile, I’ll continue driving my 2005 Suburban, and I’ll happily keep doing so until the day it literally falls apart. At least I know I got my money’s worth.

They were living very extravagantly when they owned one, now it’s like they’re Hollywood elites. Their kids are adults now and basically do whatever they want. Point is they capitalized on people’s love for automobiles and realized they could gouge. Same thing is happening with food now. STOP CONSUMING THEIR PRODUCTS! They will have no choice but to change.

This isn’t a GM issue, it’s a dealer issue. They ordered the trucks through an upfitter, who is the one that did the lift, tires and adons. And the word got out that with the lift, those trucks are only getting 15mph on the highway and low double digits in town, no one’s going to pay a premium to get less mileage.
