Checking in after Technoblade's passing, we still mourn his draw. He never lost, cancer went down with him, and as we know, Technoblade never truly dies.
technically the only way to beat cancer fully is to remove it from the body while you still live or fight it until you die of old age. in this context the cancer does not intend on surviving its goal is to kill you meaning the cancer did in fact win the war.
I never watched him. Not a single video. I never got into his channel, and I have no idea what any of the events these lyrics reference are. And yet, despite that, seeing how much respect people held and still hold for him, I can't help but hold a certain honor for this man I never knew. He was important to many, and taken from this world far too soon.

I'm going as Technoblade this Halloween. I don't think I could physically stand to go as anyone or anything else. I have debilitating medical conditions, nothing as bad as cancer, but bad enough and in enough of a number to make my life a living hell. Technoblade showed me that even though things look hopeless, that it's okay to keep your head high, and look to the future. Ask for help if you need it, and don't be afraid. I know he didn't just inspire me, he inspired all of us. And for that, we'll never forget him. "Why do good people die?" "In a garden, what flowers will you pick first?" "Beautiful ones."

Dream SMP was such a fever dream. So much of the story was so ridiculous, but it was delivered with so much passion that you couldn't help but get swept up in it all. I watched so much of it through animatics and techno's streams, it was chaos and excitement. I don't know that anyone will ever replicate this specific brand of entertainment.
the SMP was a bunch of nerds, and Schlatt, roleplaying tv shows and theatre shows. Hamlet, Theseus, Breaking Bad, Hamilton, Jekyll and Hyde, to name a few. The only reason it blew up was Covid 19. None of them could go to college or work. So they streamed together as friends. Tommy and Wilbur started stories and the collective fanbases made it popular. Its no coincidence that when Covid ended, the streams slowly ended too. (and then o7 for Techno).

It is the story of a broken man, not a bad man, nor a good man, but a man broken beyond recognition.
Honestly this reminds me of the story I came with for a DND Norse campaign idea involving Loki in a more myth accurate light. As much as what you wrote was cool, Techno is a complete anarchist and so leading anything isn’t his thing. He just wants to crush government and break tyrants. Also when he says he unleashed his hounds, he means that literally, dude had an army of dogs for that battle lol.
While techno was hunted down after going back home and trying to get away from the violence, it wasn't just for heresy. He summoned two withers, beings of destruction, on their new land before leaving.

This inspired an NPC in my D&D world I've been writing. A folk hero, called The Wanderer, noone sees her appear, noone sees her leave, but where she walks, the common folk are free. Troops of the Empire fear her blade, goblin and orc hordes flee when her song is heard. Her flaming red hair and forest green cloak hide her elven ears as she destroys those who bring harm to the innocent and defenseless.
You know how some people think they were born too late for certain events? I think people in the future will be feeling the same way about Techno in a few years, so be happy that you were able to know this legend. Not all folk heroes are recognized in their times. Technoblade never dies.
I arrived in this fandom a month after techno died. I never knew him when he was alive, but as I got to know more about his channel, comments like these started to hit harder and harder. At the start it felt wrong to watch his goodbye video because I didn't know him, but now I cry whenever I try to watch it. Technoblade is amazing and no one will ever be able to live up to him. But that's the interesting bit, isn't it? A part of him has been immortalized here in the internet, and the more time that passes, more and more people will have similar experiences to me, and they meet someone who is already gone and consequently grieve for them even though their death was one of the first things they learned about that person. Rest in peace Technoblade, and I hope you know that you will impact the lives of people who aren't even born yet. May you have found peace.

He seems like such a wonderful, witty, amazing content creator, and he has inspired so many people. I know even after death he will continue to lift people up with his videos. As I've seen many say already, he did not lose this battle; the cancer will not live on, but he and his legacy will. Technoblade is victorious and he will never die. 2 weeks ago, I didn't know Who Technoblade was. I never followed Minecraft YT before. I found THIS song on Spotify. (Probably from all of Cami-cats Collabs with Supendium) I came here to listen to it on my PC since I prefer listening to music on TH-cam while on my PC Then I read the comments and started looking down the Technoblade rabbit hole Even so, It hurt to hear of his passing That somebody I just found out about was gone before I got to see where the story would go... And so I returned here. Where it all began to listen once more, and pour one out for Technoblade.

I personally have a headcanon where, if the song exists in-universe, more than one bard came up with it (to explain the two major parts), but it’s sung as if Technoblade was an ancient and legendary warrior And every now and then when he travels, Techno gets to hear his song in a tavern, and smiles to himself as he remembers the good ol days

Say what you will about their communities, but the songs and animatics that came out of the DSMP are top-tier. You should check out "Derivakat" on TH-cam, she's made some amazing songs for the DSMP and quite a few of them are really good even outside the context of the SMP

No joke, the first time I heard this version of the song, I full blown shuddered at the end of it (which is rare for me when it comes to music). The softness of the silence, the psuedo-duet during the letter, the ferocity of the dramatic lines, and the sheer FURY behind the lines sang while the background was bright red (especially past "He abandoned our mission and left me alone")... He has VERY much earned his 'title' of the King of Minecraft PvP

This sounds like the song of a character that believed in freedom and justice, but the people they followed betrayed those ideals so many times that this character became a hateful person that goes into a murder rampage at any sign of a possible betrayal, even if there's no betrayal.

I don't know how serious this anarchist roleplay was for techno, but it is awe inspiring how his tale sung this way echoes with the tale of so many revolutionaries... The love for the innocent, the fight for freedom, betrayed by some using it to simply change the people in power rather than the structure itself, the tension between rage and the desire of a simple life... Yes. This is not the only song that is absolutely BANGERS. The fandom I'm part of has some negatives, this is the side that gets the most attention, but one side is just chilling and is most likely to leave, and the last side is the talented ones. Whether it comes to writing essays, analyzing characters, making AMAZING SONGS, animatics, and animations (check sad-ist please. She got me into the fandom in the first place) and more. So that's it.

Before this cover I had only slight ideas of who Technoblade was from Captain Sparkles videos where he was a competitor in Minecraft Mondays, and now I've almost finished watching everything Technoblade.
The Mizz Fish version of this song is actually what got me in to Techno. I've seen all his DreamSMP vods, plus most of his other videos. He's the only character from the smp I really keep track of.

The story of the song goes far beyond a mere minecraft ballad, even if it wasn't written with that intention, I've listened to this a hundred times and every time the words give new meaning to me
I am honestly speechless. This song is so beautiful- I absolutely love the small details of lore that aren't often heard in other songs inspired by Technoblade, such as how the butcher army almost killed his horse. I can't believe that I only found this song now, over 2 years later, over 1 year after his passing. Actually on the verge of tears as i type this lol.

I'm going as Technoblade this Halloween. I don't think I could physically stand to go as anyone or anything else. I have debilitating medical conditions, nothing as bad as cancer, but bad enough and in enough of a number to make my life a living hell. Technoblade showed me that even though things look hopeless, that it's okay to keep your head high, and look to the future. Ask for help if you need it, and don't be afraid. I know he didn't just inspire me, he inspired all of us. And for that, we'll never forget him.

Dream SMP was such a fever dream. So much of the story was so ridiculous, but it was delivered with so much passion that you couldn't help but get swept up in it all. I watched so much of it through animatics and techno's streams, it was chaos and excitement. I don't know that anyone will ever replicate this specific brand of entertainment.
the SMP was a bunch of nerds, and Schlatt, roleplaying tv shows and theatre shows. Hamlet, Theseus, Breaking Bad, Hamilton, Jekyll and Hyde, to name a few. The only reason it blew up was Covid 19. None of them could go to college or work. So they streamed together as friends. Tommy and Wilbur started stories and the collective fanbases made it popular. Its no coincidence that when Covid ended, the streams slowly ended too. (and then o7 for Techno).
And a chunk of that ridiculousness was Wilber’s fault mr.my-mom’s-a-smart-fridge-and-I-slept-with-a-fish-got-pregnant-then-had-a-fox-son

Honestly this reminds me of the story I came with for a DND Norse campaign idea involving Loki in a more myth accurate light.
As much as what you wrote was cool, Techno is a complete anarchist and so leading anything isn’t his thing. He just wants to crush government and break tyrants. Also when he says he unleashed his hounds, he means that literally, dude had an army of dogs for that battle lol.
While techno was hunted down after going back home and trying to get away from the violence, it wasn't just for heresy. He summoned two withers, beings of destruction, on their new land before leaving.

I arrived in this fandom a month after techno died. I never knew him when he was alive, but as I got to know more about his channel, comments like these started to hit harder and harder. At the start it felt wrong to watch his goodbye video because I didn't know him, but now I cry whenever I try to watch it. Technoblade is amazing and no one will ever be able to live up to him.
But that's the interesting bit, isn't it? A part of him has been immortalized here in the internet, and the more time that passes, more and more people will have similar experiences to me, and they meet someone who is already gone and consequently grieve for them even though their death was one of the first things they learned about that person.

Coming back to this after hearing about Technoblade's passing. Though I unfortunately only discovered him a month ago due to this post, I wish I had known of him longer. He seems like such a wonderful, witty, amazing content creator, and he has inspired so many people. I know even after death he will continue to lift people up with his videos. As I've seen many say already, he did not lose this battle; the cancer will not live on, but he and his legacy will. Technoblade is victorious and he will never die. He'll always live on in the millions of people he touched. RIP Alex, you will be very much missed. 👑🐷🎗️

Seriously there were a few prominent youtubers who passed away but I am surprised how big of an effect Technos' passing had (most likely because some people grew up watching his videos ... would recommend the watch his dry wit was fantastic .... also jokes like "officer I drop kicked that child in self defence" or quoting Sun tzu while trying to sabotage another players potato farm (the great potato war trilogy) .....

I never followed Minecraft YT before. I found THIS song on Spotify. (Probably from all of Cami-cats Collabs with Supendium)
I came here to listen to it on my PC since I prefer listening to music on TH-cam while on my PC
Then I read the comments and started looking down the Technoblade rabbit hole
Even so, It hurt to hear of his passing That somebody I just found out about was gone before I got to see where the story would go...

Say what you will about their communities, but the songs and animatics that came out of the DSMP are top-tier. You should check out "Derivakat" on TH-cam, she's made some amazing songs for the DSMP and quite a few of them are really good even outside the context of the SMP

No joke, the first time I heard this version of the song, I full blown shuddered at the end of it (which is rare for me when it comes to music). The softness of the silence, the psuedo-duet during the letter, the ferocity of the dramatic lines, and the sheer FURY behind the lines sang while the background was bright red (especially past "He abandoned our mission and left me alone")... He has VERY much earned his 'title' of the King of Minecraft PvP

The fandom I'm part of has some negatives, this is the side that gets the most attention, but one side is just chilling and is most likely to leave, and the last side is the talented ones. Whether it comes to writing essays, analyzing characters, making AMAZING SONGS, animatics, and animations (check sad-ist please. She got me into the fandom in the first place) and more. So that's it.

Before this cover I had only slight ideas of who Technoblade was from Captain Sparkles videos where he was a competitor in Minecraft Mondays, and now I've almost finished watching everything Technoblade.
The Mizz Fish version of this song is actually what got me in to Techno. I've seen all his DreamSMP vods, plus most of his other videos. He's the only character from the smp I really keep track of.

I am honestly speechless. This song is so beautiful- I absolutely love the small details of lore that aren't often heard in other songs inspired by Technoblade, such as how the butcher army almost killed his horse.
