The scene where this played was peak and why animation needs to be respected. The intense animation, the emotions, and this song are truly glorious, and I dare live action to just try to capture the magic it invoked.
Both mediums have their own merits. That Arcane scene was really well made though. While not in the same vein in terms of the context of the scene I think some live-action shows have some really crazy cinematography. Shows ranging from Severance, Mr. Robot, Dark, Maniac, Twin Peaks, etc In terms of movies, Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max Fury Road, Enter the Void, etc
How nice it feels seeing that Arcane S2 is not disapointing 😎 and I was right about something: Vi and Jinx can hurt each other, but they cannot kill each other.
My interpretation of the song is very simple: The one singing the song is Arcane himself. He is warning them that if they continue using their strength to make hextech and weaponry, everything will go to shit. That's why the weapons glitch and because of Jayce he realizes his mistake.
SPOILERS I like how this song has a double meaning: not only is it illustrating the rift between Jinx and Vi but also Jayce's realization that he's been messing with forces beyond his control (The Arcane).
In fact, i fucking love how in the very instant he realizes what was done its first instinct is destroy that "thing". No thinking, not trying to "i can manage this power".
And it usually has the choir when we're back to Jayce, which is awesomely a prayer to Janna. For the blue bird is with me
@@scarletsblood8510 There's another meaning here. Janna is the goddess of Zaun, bringing good winds to sailors in the old days while appearing as a blue bird. Jinx will take on the responsibility and finally be the hero Zaun needs, bringing a "storm" to Piltover and the Noxians. She will be the blue bird.
the visuals alone of the hextech corrupting was very chilling, and then the choir in this just knocks it out of the park. after this and guns for hire i have to start listening to this guy. can’t wait for more…

The mix of ancient Shuriman and modern music creates such eldritch sounds... mixed with the visual effects of the Hex-core in the sequence, I really hope the entity that Jayce, Ekko and Heimer found will have some elements of the Void in its future development
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SONG TO DROP SINCE THE S2 TEASER TRAILER, FINALLY!!! 😭😭😭🙏 THE WHOLE THING SOUNDS DIVINE, ESPECIALLY THE CHANTING and I'm *so* glad it's not just a small segment and there's so much more to it 😭❤🔥
@@kaleena2073 literally same the chanting scratched the best itch in my brain
Same the chant makes me ascend to heaven
Same💔💔💔
@@JuniorHunter-js7qlthis guy gets it
Still, there's a part missing. If you listen to the trailer that was dropped months ago, there's a choir part that is not included in this version.
This masterpiece deserve an award
I swear Arcane has some of the best bangers of all time
I love the chanting motif of the arcane when its disrupting all of the hextech. can hear the same tones in victor's theme.
From Assassin's Creed: Revelation trailer to Arcane, Woodkid has been nothing short of Legendary
wait assassin creed? that was woodkid too?
@@kravenite they're also in unity
@@kravenite Yep.
i started being his fan since I saw that AC Revelations Trailer years ago, man I absolutely love woodkid
AC Revelantions is maybe my favorite trailer of all times bcs of him, Woodkid is a legend.
The scene where this played was peak and why animation needs to be respected. The intense animation, the emotions, and this song are truly glorious, and I dare live action to just try to capture the magic it invoked.
The kaleidoscopic distortion effect works way better in Arcane than it did in Doctor Strange.
Both mediums have their own merits. That Arcane scene was really well made though.
While not in the same vein in terms of the context of the scene
I think some live-action shows have some really crazy cinematography. Shows ranging from Severance, Mr. Robot, Dark, Maniac, Twin Peaks, etc
In terms of movies, Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max Fury Road, Enter the Void, etc
I can’t believe I became a fan this summer and some have you have been waiting 3 years for this!! Respect yall 😂🤌
The choir and drums feel so beautifully primal, Woodkid made so cold a song, it gives frostbites.
The shot is a callback to Season 1's intro right before the title card hits.
PEAK CINEMA.
Yeah bhro, everyone realized that. Dont feel special

JUST WATCHED ALL 3 EPS.. WOW THIS IS GOING TO BE A RIDE.. VI AND JNX AND VICK MY GOD EPIC
Welcome my fellow glorious evolved
How nice it feels seeing that Arcane S2 is not disapointing 😎 and I was right about something: Vi and Jinx can hurt each other, but they cannot kill each other.
Wtf are you talking about vi was going to kill jinx before the kid got in the way
@theislander4310 She hesitated, and then stopped Cait. Watch it again 😉
@@SeaWave2022she stopped Kait cause she could have hit the kid
Vi and Jinx are batman and the Joker
@@theislander4310she could just push the child away if she wanted to do it, she was clearly conflicted and found an excuse
THE SCENE... THE MUSIC JUST SO MIND-BLOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My interpretation of the song is very simple: The one singing the song is Arcane himself. He is warning them that if they continue using their strength to make hextech and weaponry, everything will go to shit. That's why the weapons glitch and because of Jayce he realizes his mistake.
That Fight scene with this Music was Absolute Cinema! Wish I could Forward time to Nov 16 for Act 2
I can’t imagine what’s going to happen in act 2
@@Wolfking99-x4r for real u can't 😅
dude act 1 already gave us so much im not sure if im ready for the rest yet
Fuck the 16th, I wanna go straight to the 23rd!!!
Nice pfp, cupcake
Woodkid performance is insane in this song... First is Gun For Hire and now this??? Don't even get me started on the choir bro
U like ? It’s French 😅
SPOILERS
I like how this song has a double meaning: not only is it illustrating the rift between Jinx and Vi but also Jayce's realization that he's been messing with forces beyond his control (The Arcane).
Jayce: What... have we done...
In fact, i fucking love how in the very instant he realizes what was done its first instinct is destroy that "thing". No thinking, not trying to "i can manage this power".
@@MolotovKiller Jayce: Vik was right. i should've destroyed the Hexcore...
And it usually has the choir when we're back to Jayce, which is awesomely a prayer to Janna.
(From Description) Shuriman chant translated from an old prayer to the goddess Jan’ahrem:
Beyond these walls, the storm's fury grows
Over land and sea, the storm's fury grows
But I have nothing to fear!
This song makes me levitate and ready for a war at the same time
Woodkid's two song on Arcane are powerful.
Its like he was chosen for it.
the visuals alone of the hextech corrupting was very chilling, and then the choir in this just knocks it out of the park. after this and guns for hire i have to start listening to this guy. can’t wait for more…
1:31 Goosebumps!!
Fr
Woodkid voice just makes any song carry so much meaning and it flowed so perfectly and elevated that fight scene so much and it blew me away
This is art...The entire show is just art.
My god, why cant more animations do this, hust the sheer brutality of the fight and lining perfect with an immense epic score, it was... perfect
The way he sings "soul" at 3:01 is so gorgeous
I like how the song was sad and not badass…reminded me of score in Avatar The Last Airbender when Zuko fought Azula..both of them had to fight the siblings.
and both are masterpieces
This is the best comparison I have ever seen. In my opinion, ATLA and Arcane are two amazing shows that are on the same level of greatness in terms of storytelling and how they write their characters.
Woodkid has such a beautiful and somber voice--perfect for such a climactic and haunting scene.
I'm so excited they brought Woodkid back for S2!
Guns for Hire is easily my favorite song from S1, and it introduced me to his other incredible music
Been a massive fan of Woodkid since AC so many years ago. So glad to see him be apart of such a big project yet again! Mega talent
God, the way this song _perfectly_ reflects the desperate, frantic, violent tragedy that is Arcane is just astounding!
This 3rd episode was INSANE 🤩
that fight was absolute cinema
Yeah. I wonder what would have happened if Caitlyn hadn't interrupted the sisters.
Woodkid knew exactly that he cooked a Masterpiece
Man, I was totally speechless during this part of the third ep, couldn't stop smiling from the amount of craziness that I was seeing on my screen. That was definitely PEAK, can’t wait to see other episodes
We are witnessing peak animated television
12 episodes out. Already one of the best to have been done.
_This is how you create art. And it comes from France._
Riot games music never disappoint you and that's a fact
SHOW OF THE YEAR
This song + fight scene = absolute cinema👌🏻
Heimerdinger predicted everything in part 1, the Arcane is DANGEROUS
But the people using it are even more.
What's funny is that the Arcane itself actually seems to agree with him, if you read the lyrics as coming from it, which makes by far the most sense imo, you can hear how DISGUSTED it is that it has been used in this way
Round of an applause for whoever made this show possible 👏👏👏
Yeeeeeessss finally my favorite chanting from Arcane S2
It's a lot more eerie than in the trailer😭
@@miabellaperez3367WHICH MAKES IT EVEN BETTER
