      Supposedly, If you get a midi pedal you can use manual mode and switch patches with that and assign more effects to each pedal without having to press the two bank buttons to switch/change.
      Can you tell me how to use my amps ch 3 distortion tone (and or clean channel) but use the boss gt100 effects in manual mode?

    My first multi effects/amp modeler deck was Boss GT-8 which was a couple generations before the GT-100. it had some great tones on it and really brought some life to my crate half stack. i was just a kid buying whatever i could get on deep discount used. now i have boss gt-1000 core and its pretty fantastic. people complain still that gt-1000 doesnt sound like a real amp 😂 people are pretty silly. gt-1000 sounds amazing and now i actually know how to use these things as opposed to my gt-8 when i had no idea what a phaser or a plexi or a 1959 or a compressor was and had little idea of how to use it, just poking around on pre-sets.

    • @dinobosecreativity
      @dinobosecreativity  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well you really have to take time and dial things in. All the people who complain aren't spending enough time tweaking their sound like they would with a real amp with pedals/fx.
      I also learned all about amp and speaker simulators with my GT3. That's how I got started with virtual amps.

    • @dinobosecreativity
      @dinobosecreativity  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Glad you enjoy them. Well I’m running the GT100 into my UAD Twin interface. I have a mix console display where I can monitor everything. I’ve never used the red light by the pedal to check clipping.
      I checked the manual, I didn’t find anything about the red light as you mentioned. Where did you read about this?

    • @hamishmchamish
      @hamishmchamish 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IIRC as it's been a years since I set mine up... you make a patch with ACC/ctrl set to LED on off. You then set an assign so the input source triggers the LED - set min to 126 and max to 127 so the light only comes on when the signal has maxxed. I think I also set an assign turning on auto wah in the same way to make it really clear when it clips as both the LED and wah turn on.
      I have a permanent reference patch so that is dead easy to adjust the input level between guitars. I should point out that you could just leave it set for the guitar with the highest output if you want others to have a weaker signal

    I have one of these coming in the mail. Bought it for all the reasons you said. This is a premature question, but i must have missed the setting when going in a mixer, then active speaker. Also can I plug in two guitars at the same time.
    This video took a lot of work for you, so thank you for you time and enthusiasm. These videos take hours, if not days to make

    • @dinobosecreativity
      @dinobosecreativity  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to decide what's best for your gear in the Output Select setting, this part of the video --> th-cam.com/video/yap67dv7cjc/w-d-xo.html. For mixer I think you would use the LINE/Headphones Output setting.
      I've never tried two guitars, the GT-100 only has a single mono input. Maybe you can get some kind of splitter and plug in in 2 mono instrument jacks into it, then it would run a single instrument jack into the GT-100's Input. But either way you won't be able to pan your 2 guitars accordingly in the GT-100.

      Got the unit. You are correct...of course. Amazing pedal. Lots to absorb but im getting there. No laptop, but its bot hindering programming patches, though it would make life simpler. The two guitar thing would be just to go from electric to acoustic...changing patches. No biggie I'll just lower the sound on the unit and change guitars. Thanks againb@dinobosecreativity

    Brilliant, if not the best demo on this incredible piece of equipment…I have had mine for a number of years, and at times wonder if I got it set up correctly….think I have not….so it’s like learning all over, one thing though, I run OSX Monterey, and as far as I can tell, having tried, the USB interface does not work, I have the updated system for the GT100, but have to edit old school, on my hands and knees….I do love the build quality and the ease of use, but I think I may have got a few things wrong, I also did not know I could hook up a keyboard, in my case an old Kong Triton, and play through it, and out of the USB into Logic Pro…..pity, as I gave my son my old Triton…….just have to get a new synth….again thanks for your help, I have subscribed and will watch all your videos, appreciate your time and your great explanation…cheers

      Hi, thank you so much for the wonderful message. And thank you for subscribing, supporting and watching!
      Unfortunately I don’t have any Mac experience, I found this: discussions.apple.com/thread/7983219. But proceed with caution/discretion with any of the suggestions. I have no idea how this will impact your Mac or GT100.
      One suggestion I can make is to get a tall compact stand or tray, you can put the GT up so that you’re not on hands/knees bent over. I did this for the demo video, it’s on top of a tray which has wheels. Very helpful.
      What other features of the GT100 would you like me to cover?
      Have a great day,
      Dino

      @@dinobosecreativity Hey Dino, appreciate your help and reply, thank you…..that’s a very good idea, raise the unit up, to be honest I do like the hands on approach, I just wanted to see if I could hook up my Mac to the GT100….as for ideas, I think the one thing that I struggle with is , I hear a sound , tone created on the GT100, but often when I program it, er my end result is wanting a bit, I did notice that you dial the output control to full…..I only have mine at just under half dialled in, I wonder if this is my issue, I do use the four cable method and run my GT100 through my Blackstar….it’s a 10W amp, stacked…..great little amp, I play my Les Paul Studio and my Fender American Classic Strat through it, oddly enough nowhere near as good as you haha….you have been of huge help, I enjoy your content and very clear explanations, thank you again for your kind help…cheers, Karl, who lives on the small island of Jersey just off the north coast of France…..we are sadly recovering from a hurricane and an awful destructive tornado…check out the news on it, very rate event, utterly terrifying it was a few days back……cheers

      @@karlhoward2737 Wow that's really interesting you live on this island, I just checked it on google maps. I'm not so far away, in Prague, CZ. Hope everything turns out ok after the tornado. Glad you're able to bounce back and play some guitar!
      I don't think your issues have anything to do with the Output volume knob setting. You can try it with my method. See if it helps. With my method you can't accidentally overload a sound by hitting the output volume on accident and pushing it past the halfway point...It's already at the highest volume it'll go. Hope that makes sense. Try it. Just follow the sequence in the video.
      For me hearing a sound and dialing it in is just kind of intuitive at this point. I also sometimes don't get the sounds I want exactly. Cool that we both have Strats. I don't have a real Les Paul though, only the Jackson LP style guitar.
      Thanks for the compliment though, I have to admit my tone sculpting intuition has gotten pretty good over the years.
      I think it's always good to have a starting point.. Whatever you hear, see if you heard that on an album or song somewhere. Find out what the guitarist was using and start from there. You just have to play around a lot with Gain, EQ, Distortion and other fX levels and combinations.
      Good luck! Which model is your black star? I'm curious to check out pics

      @@overthetop040411 I'd check out the GT100 and Katana manuals and compare their features. The GT100 manual is linked in the description of this video. Let me know how it goes.. I'm curious to know what the Katana has available.

      You could run the pedal board into the power amp in on your Katana if something were to happen to your katana. Or you can have it as a direct back up just add DI to FOH

    ZoomG5n vs Boss GT100 who is better Sir ???

      I haven't tried the Zoom G5N but I compared a Zoom multifx board long time ago when I first got the Boss GT3.
      The amp sims in the GT were better. And I grew up on all those Boss pedals, I just prefer their sound over the Zoom stuff.
      I'm not sure what the difference is now but I would just get Boss because I grew up on their pedals since I was a teenager.

      One more question BOSS GX 100 vs BOSS GT 100 who is better ??

      @@Coffin575 I would think the GX100 is better as it’s newer and has the touchscreen. But it’s a bit more expensive. I’ve never tried it so I can’t say for sure.

    When installing I get an Adobe AIR error. I tried to download it but it says its out of support or something. What do I need to do? Thank you for your videos.

      Unfortunately I don't know anything about troubleshooting Adobe AIR.
