This was not only informative, it was had a dash of great humor! And yes, I will get me a GT-100, I am not exactly tech-illiterate, but I wanna get to the point with my pedalboard. For recording purposes, I will get something, but the GT-100 is gonna be the workhorse! Thank you!

As a really stupid person who couldn't figure out how to do this exact thing from reading the Boss manual (and let my GT-100 languish in the corner for years), I really appreciated this step-by-step walk-through.
And I'm sure even smart people could learn a thing or two from it, too.

I ran my GT-100 with 4 cable method through my Roland GA-112 but the sounds were just not what I expected, when I ran just through my Bose headphones I got a completely different sound which was absolutely perfect. I contacted a Tech at Sweetwater Sound about powered speakers and purchased the FRFR 108 speaker ( 279.00 /300.40 with tax ) and man this is the only way to use the GT -100 what a difference I have already ordered another to run in stereo this speaker is absolutely amazing, wished I would have known this sooner only thing I changed was back to lines/phones selection instead of my combo return. They only weigh about 20 lbs check some of the videos of them they are amazing, of course, hard to get accurate sound on here but wow it makes the GT-100 come alive!

@@Metalhead980 no my amp sounds great just seems like I have to play at a higher volume than I do with the FRFR speakers

Ha nice one! Went back to fiddling with my GT100 recently over and above the 50kg of pedals/power supply etc. and managed to get some great sounds finally and with portability.

I didn't know this was possible on my pedalboard! Thanks! Now I don't have to copy/paste each preset and edit each one. Manual mode looks way better and keeps the same tone

Wow thank you. Ive had my gt-100 for 7 years. Only used it for headphone playing. Used it for a band set up. Direct line but never actually did it this way. So many things i dont know about this pedal. Lol. And thank you for making it in 2022 when everyone uses helix, fractals or kempers.

This is an excellent setup tutorial. Where does one learn what all of these individual settings do and mean? I am so overwhelmed as a new guitarist (I HAD to have a GT-100 though). Am I supposed to just play around with each setting to learn what they do? This could take years. :(

Recently got an Orange Crush 35rt and am wanting to use some pedals with it. I was looking at the GT100 as in the long run it would be cheaper than buying individual pedals. My question is has anyone used the GT100 purely for fx/stomp boxes (with the preamp part disabled) going into a normal guitar amp and how good is it?
