A very timely video. Just got back from GFC so, need to take care of lights, and might as well do a ARB at the same time. So, where does the Switch Pro hook up? I remember from an earlier video you had switches in the bed.
The 12volt power I have in the bed of my truck for my little led camping lights and USB ports to charge phones or whatever is just 12v from my truck battery. I don’t use it to power much at all so I’m not worried about draining my truck battery. I just have like a 10ga power wire running back there from my truck battery. My switch pros runs all the Baja designs light throughout the truck that way I can control all the Baja lights through my Switch-Pros app on my phone also.
Great video. Im about to install this same set up on my tundra. My only ? Is why didn’t you use the switch pro to turn on the compressor? Thanks for any tips.
Thanks for watching it. My switch pro was already full from other accessories. And since it came with a nice ARB switch and wiring harness meant to hook to that switch I just ran it.

Thanks a lot. It is very handy to know how to work with the 12volt stuff. TH-cam wasn't a thing when I learned, I just did trial and error when I was a kid. Im sure there are some great 12v tutorials out there now. Only tip I might have is diagram what you are wanting to do. Draw a little picture with all the accessories you want to install and where you want to connect them to. Make sure you fuse everything. You won't hurt yourself with 12 volt power but you can hurt the item if done wrong. Just take your time. It takes a longgggg time to make it nice and clean and work well. Even now that I am comfortable with all types of wiring it is still a very slow, tedious task. Just take your time.
How about using one of the switch pros switches to turn the ARB on/off? Can you just wire the "hot" and "ground of the isolating switch harness to one of the switch pro wires?
If I remember right the ARB needs 40 amps. Switch Pro has a max of 30 amps on 4 of the 8 switches. I think what you are saying if I understand the lingo correctly is have the switch pro just activate a relay which would be able to supply the needed 40 amps for the ARB. If that is what you mean then I don't see why it wouldn't work but of course I have to say check with ARB and or Switch Pro before wiring this way. Personally, my switchpro was already full with other accessories so I opted to just use the included harness to keep it headache free.
@@jcberb theres no 40amps running through that thin purple wire that's for sure... i don't see why it would need to be wired to something that can "handle" 40amps, because the power (amps) is going from the battery straight to the ARB. The purple wire is just an internal relay activation wire, minimal power requirements probably... or am i missing smth?
@@jcberb yeah sorry i misread about the 40amps going through the purple wire..makes sense what you say. I'm going to do the same: use the normal battery harness with the 2x40amp inline fuses and the purple wire to one of my switch pros wires

I didn't know the answer b/c I am using an electric locker. I asked @sdoffroadmt and he said there are a couple holes intended to be used for the manifold. Sorry, I don't have more details. Maybe message him on Instagram to find out more.

To the stock stuff… yeah. But I have none of my aftermarket stuff run to it so fingers crossed I won’t ever have issues with the OEM stuff.
