How about canvassing a broad spectrum of people in and out of the industry to bring about more balanced rules for trades, free agency movement etc. It is so imbalanced at the moment that clubs are paying well overs for players that sit in the best 16 to keep them and clubs extracting free agents for nothing are paying way overs. Obviously you haven't being paying attention to the movements of our players over the last few seasons. Laird was moved into the midfield to fill in because we had no-one to do that job at the time. He did an amazing job for a fill in picking up 2 times all Australian squad in that position and not to mention another B & F!! to go with 2 times Runner up in the midfield. They moved him back to half back last year and said that's where he's going....... Remember he's a 2 times all Australian at half back and 2 times B & F in that position. We NEED to keep some of the older players in the team for balance and game smarts.
