33 in September, similar story tried to ollie a small gap when I was a teen (16ish) fucked my knee but more so my confidence and rarely ever skated again, always kept up with the scene, reading thrasher etc. Recently thought about getting back on a board but felt like maybe time wasn't on my side. Seeing your progress and how much fun you're having has inspired me to do so over the summer!! thank you man!
Sweet! Glad you found me. I think the wins come a bit more consistently with transition and you don't have to worry about your ability to jump or leave the board. Have fun.
Hello from Canada! Just found you as im starting my own skateboarding journey. Started just with pushes last summer. Hurt my ankle and then later a shoulder which slowed my progress but started back up this spring! Didnt lose much even though ive been off the board for 6 months. Looking forward to seeing more from you! EDIT: I started when i was 36. Never boarded before ever.
Oh my God I have such a similar experience so glad I found your channel I used to skate at 13 could not even ollie at 14 I broke my right hip parents stopped me skating I'm now 33 and decided that I wanted to start skating again the fear if hurting my hip again is really stopping me how did you overcome it
Pads - at least until I found my feet and still pad up if I'm looking at a new learn. I'm also so much fitter and stronger than I was 20 years ago (believe it or not).
Nice progress man 👏👏
You’re making good progress and inspiring others to get over their fears. Great stuff keep it up my guy
Thanks so much!! 🙏🏻 that in itself is pretty inspiring.
Nice work dude

Nice! I'm 44 and just started skating again. You've inspired me to learn some transition tricks.
