    In my 30’s and a beginner myself, love watching the videos mate, giving me a lot of motivation. So cool to see your progression and look forward to the Ollie’s up the curb. Trying to do the same myself

    Love the dedication to these shuvs mate! I don't feel in the position to be handing out challenges at the moment 😂 please continue at your own pace you are an inspiration 💪

      “At your own pace” feels like the nicest way to put it. Let’s keep going!

      The run up is gross man. Dougie also dropped in on the wall round the corner - more gross.

    I think the jumping onto the board in the transition is a good technique to learn. This will help you with loads of stuff and once you get used to doing it more I'm sure you'd get the caveman. With the caveman I'd do just like you did here start low and work your way up.
    Looking forward to next week and seeing the parks from your trip. I love seeing new parks.

      Should have my Mexico visit out on Tuesday. Nothing major, but nice to see new places through a particular lens.

    Yes as regards to the Shuv's defo try keep those shoulders parallel with board, keep most of your weight on your back foot as you flick and don't be scared to really shuv that bk foot as hard as you can , even if the board goes a bit ahead, you'll learn to stay above your board😊 just don't give up

    As a skater in my 50’s I find fakie stapleguns much easier. Although you roll up and take your foot off going backwards you get to jump back on coming in forwards which is much easier.

      Oh I’ve never even thought of trying Fakie.

    This weekend i personally had abit of a set back in progresion, i fell hard from a railstand😂 Not sure when i feel comfortable enough on the board to actually try ollies or shove its, how do you get over these mental blocks?!? And also what concave does your deck have?

    • @Ungracefulmovement
      @Ungracefulmovement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha. Well you only have yourself to blame for doing rail stands. IMO, how to get over mental blocks: (so much to unpack)
      Generally, find a way to make the situation as risk-free as possible and step up the risk as your technique develops. Ollies: start holding on to a fence or railing to learn the technique.

    If you could fakie ollie you could pop a few on the mini ramp 😀

    • @Ungracefulmovement
      @Ungracefulmovement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ooh. I’ve tried a few in the ramp, with okay results. I do still need to work on fakie, time was my fakie Ollie was better than regular 🤦🏻‍♂️

      @@UngracefulmovementI believe that! I'm pretty sure I will land fakie heel or kick flips again before doing a regular one! Seems like they're easier. Can't figure it out. Getting annoying now cause back in the 80s/90s kick and herl flips were the easiest things in the world to do lol oh my!
