Even wifes. I think three wifes - Macedonian, Persian and Afghan (Sogdian), who gave him son (later murdered by his general Kassander).
In Ancient Greek, respectively Thebes, existed so-called Sacred Band of Thebes, military unit composed of bisexual, or gay men. Irony is, that Alexander father Phillip, who admired Sacred Band of Thebes, annihilated this unit in the Battle of Chaeronea, during his unification campaign.

So about Alexander the Great, I am Greek so I have learned a few things about him from scripts. So in the scripture it states that he was in very close friendship with Hephaestion. That's where most people confuse those words and mistake him as gay that is not true. Also in Ancient Greece being gay mostly wasn't acceptable(like 99%).

This is so false. Being gay was widely accepted in Greece. In fact, in Sparta it was almost customary for young boys to sleep with other boys who were in their military unit in order to build comradery

I love how this comment is basically the people I believe were 99% homophobic said that these 2 people were friends therefore it’s impossible that they could be gay
