    Nicki thank you for explaining things well without being wordy and showing things in a clear and to the point way. Your set up is also very wonderful to clearly show how to do things.

    Thanks! I only chain 2 and go in the 2and loop, it makes a nicer edge 😊

    Yours is the best video so far ! I am still not getting it but it's only one day and it looks like a tangled mess but that's just me. I'll have to try again tomorrow!

    I've watched three videos now for this linked dc and they are all different. They end up with the same look but to get there is completely different. Thank you for your version

    Hi Nicki! Your videos are always so clear and easy to follow along! Thank you for a great video on linked double crochet. I think this would be a good stitch for an unlined purse or handbag! It's much denser than just normal double crochet stitches would be. Hot pads or potholders9 would benefit from this stitch, as well. I'm going to try and make a cotton hotpad using linked double crochet stitches and see how it turns out. 🤞👍👋 Thanks again! ❤️💗💞

    Great stitch! I like the dc stitch because it’s fast especially for blankets, but not crazy about the look. This stitch looks beautiful! Thanks!

      @Deborah M. You know, Deborah, I've been crocheting for a really long time and I'm finding so many new aspects of crochet on TH-cam every day! It's amazing how many new tricks this old dog has learned! Lol I love learning new stitches and new and much better ways to accomplish what I'd been doing in the past. Thanks to Nicki and so many others here on TH-cam, there's no end to all the tips and tricks out there! Who woulda thunk it? I love learning all these new ways of doing things!

     @Nicki's Homemade Crafts Love this video, your instructions are very clear. I'm designing an ice fishing cozy, and trying to use this stitch. I am stuck when doing this as a continuous round, and how to end it with it looking good. I love the stich because with the tighter weave the wind wont just rip through the holes as much :)

    I'm working on a Thin Blue Line flag using this stitch.... it's so hard to see what I'm doing when I'm working with the black yarn ugh I need better lighting 😂 I absolutely LOVE this stitch tho.❤ It makes such a tight, clean line.

    Nicki; I've been crocheting for some 55 years. Lord it's looking better. I have hated those big holes for fingers and toes to stretch out or leave one a bit chilly. I get dumber the older I get. 🤔 Therefore, I'd kind of like to see this process 'in the round' done from chaining on to third round to get a real look at it. I like that hook as well.

    I love this stitch especially for double crocheted hats in the round. However do you recommend going up a hook size ? My stitches in the first hat I attempted were snug. I ended up doing an additional round of increases to get the right circumference for the size I wanted.

    • @NickisHomemadeCrafts
      @NickisHomemadeCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you have 2 options. Go up in hook size or add another increasing round 😀

    I would like to see more rows. It didn't look like the edges were straight. Illusion or does it continue?

    • @NickisHomemadeCrafts
      @NickisHomemadeCrafts  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just rewatch it. having me do more rows does not teach something new. The edges are straight, I just pulled it too much. I have a pattern coming out this weekend, where you can see that everything is straight and how more rows look like :-)

    Will it continue to get wider at the ends like it looks in the video?

    • @NickisHomemadeCrafts
      @NickisHomemadeCrafts  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I just stretched it too much during the tutorial. A pattern for it will be published on Saturday, so you will see that it does not get wider :-)

  • @michellekonersman2507

    So if I the pattern says chain 50 to get 48 double crochets in my starting chain. I guess I'm confused how to count them. I want to do this dress and I thought it might be nice to use this stitch. I know how to do the stitch, just not ending up with 48 double crochets ugh. Do you understand my problem ? Lol. Help help lol
