Super interesting. My family always played this game with the 8, 9 & 10 pip cards removed from the deck, similar to a traditional Italian deck. I see you play with a full deck. I appreciate all the details about Queen of Spades and the 2 of clubs to start the hand. Thanks for posting this video!
Beat explanation I watched so far, I subscribed to your channel, as I’m trying to learn some fun card games, and also your funny……very fun watching ur videos
Agreed it is complicated which is why I’ve been stalling on a tutorial. I want to get it right if I do it. Thanks for the nudge, I’ll take a new look at it.
@@Play-In-GamesIf you make it, I am Sure it will be really easy to learn and fun to watch. My 14 year old son and I quote you now a lot, "Points are bad. Again... points are bad."
@@RyanJohnsonDso a guy on Etsy is making me a custom board with the Play-in Games logo engraved on it and as soon as it arrives I’m going to give the tutorial a shot. Keep in mind my editing process is slower the most as I tend to keep adding unnecessary animations. 😅
@@Play-In-Games Awesome! Your "unnecessary" animations makes your work above the par and fun to watch. You've got a great sense of timing and cadence for your pacing. You add nice delays and sound effects too. We enjoy coming back to watch your vids. E.g., the pencil rolling off the notebook. Funny. "The Killer Queen" layered edits were great, and "You don't want points. Points are bad!" Fun and quotable. We quote that all the time.
I really wanna know how to play this but I have alot of question I hope you don't mind answering 1. So which is first, passing cards or gameplay? 2. 5:45 why do you need an A of hearts, why not the queen? 3. How to shoot the moon, I thought a player has 13 cards, you need 14,the 13 hearts and the queen of spades? 4. 2:55 Why? 5. Why does round 4 even exist? Pls answer
1. Passing Cards 2. Ace is higher than Queen, getting rid of higher Hearts cards makes it less likely that you will win more later 3. Watch the shoot the moon video. Also if you take a hand you get all 4 cards played, so it's possible you can take many more cards in a game then you started with in your hand. Or less. 4. It's just a rule of the game, ask Mrs. Hearts lol 5. Variety is the spice of life I guess hope these help.
the flip to negative displayed numbers confused me for a second. I get why you did it that way, but the flip flop was confusing. I think it would have been simpler to keep the points positive and just keep pushing points are bad.
I found an app on the play store for spades that has you pitted against animal icons with cute pun names and express their emotions through emojis like 😢 😄 and 😖 "What fun! Playing Spades with my animal friends. What's this? The same developer made other games with these same characters I've grown emotionally attached to? Excellent! I can't wait to learn to play Hearts...how different from Spades could it be?" I can't begin to describe how horrible I felt every time they took a heart and the betrayal felt when they'd slip in the Queen of Spades. This game is the evil sister of Spades.
I really appreciate your clarity when explaining card games, and your dry wit.
Thank you, much appreciated!
You explained this better than any of the 6 videos I have watched...❤❤❤ Thanks
thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks, you are great!
By far the only video that makes any sense lol keep up the good work
Thanks!

That’s a new twist to me, I’ll have to try it the Italian way. Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial!! Thank you!
Thanks 🙏!
another fantastic video! keep it up!!!
Thank you!
To prevent from getting the Queen of Spade, one must get rid of the King and the Ace of spade earlier
Thanks for the video! I am wondering, though, why you put a negative sign in front of the points?
In Hearts points are bad, you don’t want them, they’re bad. ❤️🙅♂️

lol I love this tutorial. Don't ever lose your sense of humour!
Will you make a video on Cribbage. You're really good at explaining the rules and Cribbage is a little complicated.

Have you heard of the card game called Five Crowns? It is similar to rummy, has its custom card set and is so fun to play.
I haven’t, but I’ll look into it, thanks!
I wasn't quite clear on some of the instructions. Are points bad or should I have as few points as possible?😊
Sure, happy to field this question. Hearts are bad in this game, you don’t want them, they’re bad! 😂

What about the Jack of diamonds + 10 pts?
Hi, Great video! Do you need 4 players?
Correct, I believe there’s a variant for less, but it’s meant to be played with 4.
@@Play-In-Games Yes, thanks. I've found out you just have to take some cards out before the two players can play.
"agian, points are bad in hearts" be stuck in my head forever now
💯
How do I know all cards have been played? 8:10
Once everyone has played out their hands. Each player initially gets 13 cards so that means 13 hands will be played.
What deck of cards are you using in this video?
Best videoooo ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thanks!

Finallyyyy I can understand how this is played 😭😭

I appreciated the dad jokes in the first minute of this video.
