There's no reason to date, if you want companionship get a dog or make friends, if you want s e x pay a professional, if you want someone to cook and clean for you pay a professional. You will get exactly waht you paid for and you wont have any unnecessary nagging or headaches.
By "open up and be more vulnerable" they mean tell them how much you love them. They don't care about your problems.
I tried to be open and vulnerable with a girl I was dating, and part of it was that she hyper analyzed everything so I tried to keep everything clear. All that did was lead to her judging me worse. I don't think being honest is always a mistake, but the person you are dating needs to have true intentions with you.
Yes, it has to be the right partner listening. You have to see that she actually cares and wants to share things mutually. If she counts your normal emotions against you, there's no red flag bigger than that.
This is absolutely true in my own case too.. it was so draining and I regretted doing that in the first place😪

Honestly, being true to yourself and your partner is more important than anything. And honesty includes that. You should be able to help eachother with your issues. Not shut her out and make things worse for you and her. I promise if you’re truly true to yourself you’ll succeed at anything. You’re all kings, don’t forget that. If she can’t accept you for who you are then she isn’t worth your time.

Awesome video Tripp. I have a therapist, and it helps a lot because that’s the person you talk to about your problems, issues, but if you got some stuff going on just tell her that you do, but you don’t need to tell her everything about it. That’s what I do.
One time I had a therapist for some of my issues, she started to cry in session with me when I would talk. Shortly after she would get super excited to see me in session or at the shop and there would be a lot of flirting and sexual tension, she was a married woman so I had to stop going before I made a mess of things.
I guess the moral of the story is don't get a hot female therapist? Or if you want to attract a woman with your vulnerability then get a hot female therapist? I don't even know...

The key word here is “overly”
To be more precise: women are not attracted to a man that shows strength, they are attracted to men that don't try to "show" anything in particular, that they are themselves confidently. You can be a very talkative and sharing person if you own it like you don't care the consequences. The "weakness" they perceive is the impression that you are trying to get their aproval when saying/doing something.
Thank you - Somebody actually gets it. All these dudes in the comments that trying to be something they aren't getting found out by women as fake, they share with women to get in their pants. They try to act perfect to get in their pants. Just be you and eventually you will find someone that fits into your world. Don't be needy, Don't be desperate just be chill and be yourself.

Engage her emotions, Make her feel safe, Satisfy her sexually and be who you are and its quite easy to keep a Woman happy.
I think there's an important distinction between sharing mental health and psychological issues with a girl and being honest about your inadequacies/owning your weaknesses.
I'll readily tells girls I'm dating that I'm introverted, for example, so I value time alone and take a little time to let my guard down.

Yup learned this lesson the hard way. I think this is a deeper issue than it appear to be on the surface. A lot of men are being raised in a very female dominated environment: Single mother, school teachers mostly women, female bosses at work.........it all adds up to a lack of strong male role models in the lives of guys growing up. They literally dont know how to be men. Instead they become overly femanised by their environment, being bombarded with messages about "Toxic masculinity" where in truth toxic masculinity is in fact a negative label thats been assignment to something that was traditional manliness. And traditional manliness is actually what women want!! Its messed up. As men we need to resist the culture and be who were naturally designed to be.

Its becuase most dudes dont actually know what Masculinity is. You can be Vulnerable and still be a protector. You can have weaknesses and still be strong. You just think that women find 1 flaw/1 weakness and immediately backpedal when the reality is its usually because you are standoff - ish, needy or just aren't authentic. You are only being "Strong" to impress women - You aren't being strong because you are actually strong. You don't have real opinions or interests - you just tell her what you think she wants to hear. You aren't open and Honest - You are whining and just word dumping onto her because you have someone to listen to you.
All this shit has made a lot of dudes jaded and have this warped view of women, that they actively choose to pursue dickheads... you have people like Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans... they are good looking dudes sure but they are all just decent guys, they are weak and strong, they care about people are open and honest, confident and more importantly not needy. They elevated their lives and share that with a partner... what you guys do is try to get a partner to elevate your life instead of doing it yourself.
No one, man or woman, will really want to be your therapist on a first date. You may come across some highly empathic individuals that will happily sit and listen to you talk about your problems, but that doesn't mean they'll want a second date if you have nothing positive to say about your life. After all, each of us has our own issues to deal with which means acting as an emotional caregiver to someone else will be too draining. It's best to have the most difficult issues in your life explored in the confines of a therapist's office or with a close friend or family member you can trust. Of course, when you are in a committed relationship you'll have to share your feelings so you'll have to be comfortable with a deeper level of vulnerability then. But even then there's a difference between feeling heartbroken about the loss of a loved one and falling to pieces when you need to act as the pallbearer, execute the will etc. Equally, it's perfectly natural to feel stressed about being made unemployed but it's not a good idea to whine about how hard it is to get a job or get so unhappy that you don't even bother to keep up your personal hygiene etc. That my friend is a disaster to your relationship because no one wants to sit with someone who wallows in their misery and won't take action to help themselves.
Tripp, I don't know how I feel about this video. In order to build a lasting relationship with someone honesty is a MUST. However, I do agree with some of your high points that had absolutely nothing to do with being honest.

Being honest in relationships is only good if you want to communicate your opinion on your interests and values. Because if you’re not staying true to your values and interests, dating as a whole is fake, and it’s not worth it. But that’s an extremely cynical way to look at it because there are women who value trust and honesty when it comes to who you are as a person.

Occasionally honesty is necessary, doesn't mean to be dishonest either. The issue is not to rely on honesty to resolve your personal issues. With time honesty in her eyes will appear more as weakness than quality as a man. Of course she is not going to do anything to stop you. For women is always good to have clarity on your intentions

If you're man and want your kids to be raised balanced personalities, take charge financially and leadership in your relationship and keep your wife at home. That's where she belongs and that where her emotional and physical energy need to be spent. Not as a financial slave to some other boss at work.
