My mother made me watch the Ed Sullivan in 1964. I didn't want to but I did.. After the Beatles performed I have NEVER been the same. It's why I am a musician today. I still listen and love every second of it.

If the Beatles in 1969 ever imagined their sound recordings would have such clarity and quality 50+ years later

This album had nothing wrong with its sound. Besides remixing, Giles is adding audio compression to make things pop a bit more, and seem fresh. Examine the wav files of the original and the new versions, and the new wavs will have greater amplitude.

@@samusbros66 import the wavs into a DAW and look at the waveforms. Since you can't do it yet with this album, try the Remix of Abbey Road against the original ot Sgt. Pepper.
I don't know. Abbey Road and the Orginal Let it Be release sounded pretty damn good in its og format.
Name any band you can, but none will ever be as influential, famous, and amazing as these 4 amazing gentlemen.

In fact Abbey Road is the conclusion of their work because it was recorded later. Let It Be was released later but their real last work together was Abbey Road.

Paul McCartney=legend and genius songwriter, John Lennon = legend and genius songwriter, George Harrison = genius riffs on guitar and grew into genius song writer by the end, Ringo Starr = genius drummer. Each stars in their own right. Put them together and what do you get? The greatest band in history
Just the fact that the Beatles comprised of 4 members who all sang, all eventually ended up writing songs, all had hit singles, albums and careers...there are no equals based on this fact alone!

Releasing a version of the LP with the original Get Back cover is what I'm liking!
That Get Back cover is what's pushing me to choose the LP Deluxe Edition over the CD version.
I really wish they would release that by itself or that and the let it be mix instead of having to get the full 200$ set

@@lucasrem I said it more because of the loss of quality that the previous remastering and the original song had had when changing the tonality of the song, it was something that always annoyed me when listening to it, I preferred the naked version, now I can also enjoy this album

The Beatles have helped make my life bareable. They've been with me my entire life as my older brother had their albums when I was born. I've listened for 50 years. More people love them today than when I was a teenager in the 1980s. It's amazing to see.
After seeing the track listings it's so disappointing how much was omitted considering the miles of recorded tape that they had done. At least we have the bootlegs.
I think Disney may be calling the shots here. I’m guessing they’ve demanded exclusivity on the entire rooftop concert in sequence, for example.

This “Get Back/Let It Be” (as I call it) will be simply amazing!!! I can’t wait for the movie and this box set. All of the anniversary box sets since Sgt Pepper in 2017 have been perfect, this one too

The rooftop recording session has been a focal point in my mind since I was a teenager. A couple of years ago I went to what is now an Abercrombie Kids store at Saville Row. I got to the top floor and when the room was empty I opened a door that I was sure would lead to the roof. I ran up the stairs only to find an alarmed door with video surveillance. If I was younger I would have opened it, but at my age I didn’t want to deal with the grief it would have caused me. I’ve regretted it ever since. Cowards die a thousand deaths...
