I have been living back and forth in Manila and Tokyo since my husband passed away 10 years ago.I just returned from my two months stay in my house located in Quezon City . I noticed that my electricity bill for a month in Manila was much higher than my electricity bill in Tokyo . Because of the low rates of Japanese yen to peso, i couldn't afford to live in Manila to the same budget i used before. Because of that, the Philippines isn't cheap to live in, especially in Manila . How much more if I pay for house rent . Now I really need to think seriously before moving back permanently.
