Agreed, esp on the being non confrontational..I didn’t know (I’m a Filipino) until I have been to the Us. Not saying it’s bad or anyth, but when something happens, like an order is wrong or some serve is not on par, we tend to say oh it’s ok, not a big deal. Like yeah give him a break maybe it’s been a long day for him or her.

It's all true,I got a condo in quezon city 19th floor for 16000p a month. I currently send my wife 1100 Canadian dollars to take care of everything for the month. We have SM mall, train, bus, S@R, waltermart, church all within walking distance to the condo. I think it's to noisy there but the wife has no problem with the noise. Women in the Philippines are sweet, kind, loving and want to care for there man and family, no comparison to North American women. As soon as I landed in the Philippines I felt good. People are generally happy and are always friendly. You know right away your not in North America just by how kind and loving and helpful people are, so personally I am very happy I finally did it. I found the love of my life and I can't wait to get back there. I am 53 and still need to work so I do the back and forth for now and hopefully soon I can just stay there.

@DerekDavis213 I am not the kind of man that can live off a woman so for me it's just the way it is. I believe a man is responsible for taking care of his family so that's what I do. The cost that's involved is peanuts compared to what it would cost to live here in North America with her.we are both happy to make our home in the Philippines so that's where we will be.

The enjoyment of the single life. The reality of a newly changed lifestyle, a changed you, the expenditure of your past to the present will add years to your life as others have said. I do think, if one can adjust to life in a developing country, is a no-brainer. Frankly, my bags are packed for that move. Thanks again for sharing the simplicity of life.🎉🎉🎉

Good for you enjoy and be bless ! I too moved back to my hometown Pampanga after 40 plus yrs in Cali. I was a nurse then and now I love living a simple life here and devote my time doing volunteer work , I do medical missions , senior citizen education seminars , I do home health visits to indigents seniors like i did US and Hospice educational visits to families and giving them love and support . It’s the best thing I can give back to my hometown . May you also find your purpose in life now that you found it here . God bless and have a quality , content and a happy life ! 🙏🏽🌴🌞

I have been living back and forth in Manila and Tokyo since my husband passed away 10 years ago.I just returned from my two months stay in my house located in Quezon City . I noticed that my electricity bill for a month in Manila was much higher than my electricity bill in Tokyo . Because of the low rates of Japanese yen to peso, i couldn't afford to live in Manila to the same budget i used before. Because of that, the Philippines isn't cheap to live in, especially in Manila .
How much more if I pay for house rent . Now I really need to think seriously before moving back permanently. The reason I am watching many expats videos on TH-cam . to get good information about living in the Philippines . Thank you for sharing your life and experiences there. Very helpful and give me great encouragement.

In my opinion there is only one strong reason to move to the Philippines and that is for a beautiful sexy young woman. I am a 77 years old man who moved to Bicol from Canada. Food , electricity, medicine, wifi etc. is not cheaper. My top priorities were AC and A Generator. My lover is 47, beautiful, college educated, excellent English, honest, reliable, and super sexy. you cannot get a woman like her in Canada at my age. I would not leave Canada for any reason other than an awesome woman. Amen

My perception is - ''all the good ones are taken" - when it comes to women. + They're too damn expensive anyway. (🤔) The result is - I'm quite content w/o a "relationship" - as is. (🤗) The beauty of the Philippines is - as you describe - based on the past 2 years of my research. Whatever lifestyle you desire can be had for the most part - but - it could often take some time and effort to find it. -?- The homeless problem here in the US is very bad and fast becoming much worse !!! > Many are fleeing the country who are retired and able.
