What I would like to see is a projection of what the next Beatles album would have sounded like, based on the individual solo projects, say in 1971. You have 2 main John Lennon albums, 3 McCartney albums, 1 George Harrison album, and 2 Ringo Starr albums. It would have to be a double album, wouldn't it? And it would have the same mix as any other Beatles album - heavy on Paul and John, George with 3-4 songs, and Ringo with the token 1, or possibly 2. Can we speculate?
There is a beautiful scene about this in ‘Boyhood’ by Richard Linklater. The father played by Ethan Hawke made his son a mix-CD of what he called the ‘black album’.
I am no fan of Paul McCartney's solo work, but I listened to 'Flaming Pie' on your advice, and what an excellent album. Thanks! Maybe there are some more I have missed. I loved 'Boyhood' but have forgotten that scene. Definitely a subject for debate!

I totally agree with you. Plastic Ono Band is Lennon at his best. The poet, the artist.
The wrong McCartney album in the top 3. Ram is McCartneys best imo.
I like Ram also! It is pretty good!
I would say Band on the Run.
Plastic Ono Band is depressing to listen to.
