      +StarksYT I really like his intro. I find it really is welcoming the viewer. PaulHfilms does something similar as well. I find most of the youtubers that are doing this type of video have an intro that is unique but yea always without fail. consistent as always is a good thing

      +StarksYT the man is a doctor, i have wondered how he greets his patients upon first contact. lol. oddly you really feel welcomed as soon as Nick comes on the screen.

      @icalexander 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coffee Drinker I'd imagine honestly that with the welcoming intro like this I'd imagine that he is very easily able to put patients at ease and make them realize a doctor is there to help them.

    Nice products and nice video Nick. I enjoy these daily shave videos just as much as your review videos. Especially when you use new products that you haven't had a chance to review. Keep em comin'

    Now that I've shaved with the mission for a week, the 34c takes a back seat. That's saying a lot. They're a little more aggressive and I love the sound.

    Nick, have you heard about the Gillette Platinum Plus blades being sold in Walgreens and Publix? They're made in Brazil and are being sold in America. I haven't looked for them in my area, and they're apparently quite expensive, but I'd love to see you review them if you can get them locally.

    I was going to order the "Amber soap" from PAA, but i discovered some people saying the website is actually how to grow a moustache and that there was "controversy". i dont know what the controversy was, but i just want to know if PAA is trusted, anyone?

    Great Review, I like the ingredients you mentioned perhaps I will try this one. FYG Solstice occurs two times per year, the summer solstice, on approx June 21 st and the winter solstice, Dec 22nd. Due to the color this may be for the summer solstice???
    In the fall we have the Equinox, on Sept, 21, Maybe they will be making an equinox product?
    I have one of their products, Cavendish, I do like it, but its on loan to my friend I am trying to convert to wet shaving.

    Would you consider this razor a mild one? Looking for a really mild razor (had de89, but the head broke )

  • @westbennett3943

    Hey nick you say in most of your videos that you let the puck bloom. Does that mean you put water onto the soap?

    • @andyhedin4893
      @andyhedin4893 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +West Bennett Yes, warm/hot water on the top of the soap for 30 seconds to a few minutes. Helps to soften the top layer of the soap, making it easier to load the brush. Especially helpful for harder soaps. Also releases additional scents in the soap, which is enjoyable.

    Hi Nick doesn't you do FB updates?
    What's happening with the straight razor, I mostly
    use a straight, and almost feel like cheating when
    using either my 34C or ATT M1

      +RottenJeeves Get a water softener. Living in Nevada with water that literally eats up your plumbing, ruins your appliances and your clothes, all around, they are worth their weight in gold. Plus, in the shower and when you shave, the lather is busting out everywhere.

    Hey Nick,
    I'm following all the steps and tricks and tips you do but I'm still finding I don't get a great shave, my neck is constantly bleeding and if anything I'm finding more irritation from even using cartridges... what should I do?

    • @justinc4969
      @justinc4969 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jeremy Young Don't mean to jack Nick's comments but do you shave with the grain? That is my first suspicion. The neck is a trouble spot for a lot of people starting out, try just shaving with the grain until you get better.

    • @JeremyYoung5813
      @JeremyYoung5813 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Justin C Thanks! Yea I try to avoid XTG on my neck but even with proper soap and brush and post-shave nivea I'm still finding irritation...

    • @ashtonmcmullen6799
      @ashtonmcmullen6799 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Jeremy Young I'd say to REALLY watch the pressure on your neck and reduce it to absolutely none or switch to a super mild razor. also, reduce your shave to one pass on the neck. you're sacrificing a really close shave, but the irritation should ease up.

    • @JeremyYoung5813
      @JeremyYoung5813 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ashton McMullen thanks for the tip, any suggestions for a good razor and blade? I currently have a parker 99R and im going through a sample pack of blades (feather terrifies me)

    • @ashtonmcmullen6799
      @ashtonmcmullen6799 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jeremy Young hm... I'd have to say the muhle r89 for a mild shave. that, combined with absolutely no pressure and really focusing on the way your hair grows, makes my shaves (my neck is super sensitive) super comfortable and irritation free. blades also play a huge part, so be sure to find a blade that combines sharpness and comfort to minimize pulling and irritation.

    I could sniff that Captain's Choice Sandalwood all day and not tire of it. I put it on my wrist at night just so that I can smell it. The absolute best Sandalwood cologne is PAA. I wear that a majority of the time and it lasts 8 hours plus for me.
