- definitely like the way the tube performs more so than the puck. I think that's what I'm going to stick with from this point forward

I used the red tube last night, and same thought had occurred to me. I have both puck and tube versions of red and green. Wish the puck versions came in a larger tub. Gonna order the white when the heat wave lets up. Yes, not as good as Tabac, TOBS, and Mitchell's Wool Fat, but very respectable. There's no need to overspend for soap !

You can achieve great lather from shave soaps in pucks but I’d highly recommend bowl lathering. Take a guitar pick or small spoon/scoop and take about a quarter sized chunk of soap from the puck. Then smear and press it into the bottom of your bowl. Start lathering it in the bowl with a damp brush and keep slowly adding water little by little until you get the consistency you want. Guarantee it’ll be a better lather than face lathering!

Also the lather I got from the puck of this particular soap was great but it just wasn't slick enough. There seems to be a slight formula difference between the puck and the tube cuz this one was much slicker
@@ThecrosseyedTexan Definitely not all soap are created equal. If you want an easy to lather and slick shave soap I’d try Phoenix artisan accoutrements ck6 soap. Comes in a bunch of scents as well
@@flynn6306 I don't know if you can see it with a wall behind me but I've got about 25 or 30 different types of soaps. If her PA I have boardwalk Barber shop and tombstone. I have some Ariana and Evans barrister and mann I have some great stuff from heritage Hill and at least six or seven different types of stirring. I've got some Taylor of old Bond Street and one from Spain called Lea, that stuff's pretty good!

I started out w/Proraso red, loved 2, used green. No complaints. Just wanted something with more lather challenges. That was 018 & for no good reason started tring every thing else on the market. The best

Hello, thanks for the nice shave. Proraso makes good products for sure! When you get a chance I recommend you to try Cella shaving soap(red one) it's cheap, has tallow and at least for me it smells great like a sweet almonds. Also I saw that you are fan of Voskhod blades, Rapira Platinum Lux are made in the same factory as Voskhod blades and are also definitely worth a try. Cheers!

Great video, before I found Proaso shave cream at Amazon, I bought CO Bigelow shave cream from b&bodyworks.
How about a shave with the Concord 3 piece razor? It's around $5-6. It's a Gillette Tech clone. I found your channel and subscribed! Thanks for the video! JimG
