I added this to the video description but I'm also going to pin this comment since idk how many people read the descriptions: It's been like 3 months since I uploaded this video and only now did I remember to add this - this video takes heavy inspiration from another animatic, currently titled "Aster's Academic Presentation", which I have linked in the description. I didn't think too much of it at the time (since my channel was and still is quite small, and I really didn't expect so many people to see this video), but it doesn't sit right with me that it goes unnoticed since this is currently the most popular video on my channel and the original has only about 200 views at the time of writing. I always like to credit my inspiration, so I hope this edit brings more attention to the video that was my main source of inspiration! I think it's great!
And while I'm glad people like this video... I just feel it's very... derivative. I'm trying to be a bit more original with my newer animatics, but I just feel uncomfortable with myself when people like my videos without knowing just how much other people's work influenced them, hence why I want to make these credits as clear as possible.
@@crescent_sun482 My hc is the strongest swear Sebby knows is Hell - we can probably thank Judge Courtney or Blaise Deworste for that one (I would mess with the audio make it so but my editing skills leave a lot to be desired ;-; )
@@tainebot0123 I completely agree with that, and imo he learned it from Blaise, who probably cussed at him quite frequently (and with stronger words than "hell" tbh but Sebby is too pure to say anything stronger)
But why is it so in character?? 😭😭 these are the kinds of essays his father bribed his teachers to give him gold stars for. now edgeworth gets to hit him with the honest grade lmao. he's trying and i'm very proud :)
He is trying his hardest. His point on Mario simply buying lives shows his growth in philosophical thinking. Everything else shows just how far he has to go.
Idk if it was said in canon whether Stacey's overconfidence came about before or after the grade fixing started, but the idea that the crispy bastard took one look at this paper and decided his kid was a lost cause is depressingly funny.
Tysm!!! And thank you for making the og version - it's so rare to see Debeste content on TH-cam that I immediately thought "Oh, I have got to draw this..." ❤
It hurts me so badly to know his official, canon name is "Eustace Winner" now. Sebastian Debeste makes so much more sense, it feels like the official one is the fanmade one...
The one thing that made Eustace Win me over is that it's an attempt to translate a very clever pun in the Japanese name, Yumihiko Ichiyanagi - "Yumihiko" is a rich kid name and "Ichiyanagi" can be read as "Ichiryū" or "first-class", but putting them together gives "Ichiyanagi Yumihiko" which sounds incredibly similar to "ichiya naki yumi wo hiku" ("pulling a bow without an arrow" - that's where we got Sebastian from, since he's the patron saint of archers). So it sounds all fancy at a glance, but upon closer inspection it really just alludes to this adorable weirdo's logic being almost entirely useless. Sebastian Debeste is an awesome name that I hate to lose... but it was unfortunately too cool for our fluffy headed nepo baby.
I. Um… Sorry, I followed exactly 15% of that. Those are definitely all words, and most of it has to do with Mario, and Koopas. That’s all I got. Seems in character for him though, based on what everyone else is saying. Keep trying Sebby! Also Edgeworth going “Okay..” like he’s hoping for a good turn around (or about) with this, then his hopes go out the window.

also there are some things that I kinda like about investigations, I do like Sebastian's growth as a character from, second rate lackey working under a human obstacle to an aspiring prosecutor with an abusive and unsupportive father who is so obviously evil that its kind of hilarious!
