Thank you so much, it was my first time installing and trying out unreal engine 5... I've learn so much just by following this tutorial. Just epic, keep up the great work.
@@3dscape249 Would it be ok if I shared you with you in a reply here with my results? I'm still working on it, FAR from it being over, I want to add so much more, but you've helped me with getting it started. It's a project that is for my best friend, who is going to start a Christian pod cast. Not wanting to post it for any click bait, or coverage, just to show my example of what I've done so far.... Again, you've helped me a lot, so thank you....

@@SolomoNomolos987 sure.. in unreal, go to the WINDOWS tab on the top and select QUIXEL BRIDGE From the drop down menu. There u can browse assets and download them. Once they r done downloading click the blue arrow which will export those assets to ur content browser
Love this! I'm having the exact same light leak problem you were having at 5:30 in the video though - how did you fix this before the camera cut at 5:32?
@comptonassrobert1 there is probably too thin geometry in the way of the light… like one sided geometry. Thicken the leaking area with closed meshes. Sometimes it’s just a glitch and rotating the sun position or selecting something will probably fix it
Select the mesh and double click on the static mesh in the details panel. In the newly opened window, search"collisions" and the option " collision complexity" would be set to Project Defaults. Change it to " Use complex collision as simple"
Not sure if you are interested, but I would help voice these for free and edit them. I make tutorials and am only interested in enhancing my unreal engine skills, and making good tutorials 👍🏽
@@3dscape249 I work off of scripts mostly. So if you ever feel inclined to write one, and record all the footage, I would love to help edit/voice these. I love watching videos like these, but know some people may click off music only. I think this is really good work :) Would love to help add production value just for the community.

I tried to rebuild this cave with exactly the same assets, but somehow the meshes have no collision detection and I can walk through them.
Select the mesh and double click on the static mesh in the details panel. In the newly opened window, search"collisions" and the option " collision complexity" would be set to Project Defaults. Change it to " Use complex collision as simple"

Where did the asset pack come from? Are all of these assets from the same pack?
Its from the quixel megascans library which can be accessed from inside the engine... download whatever assets you want from there
