    I love your recipe because it contains minimal and natural ingredients. Other recipes I’ve looked into have too many ingredients! I can’t wait to give yours a try, thanks for sharing :)

    I tried these, but since it’s been raining here for several days, they didn’t dry completely overnight. I put the mold on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at 275 degrees F for an hour. May have been overkill, but they’re perfect. Thanks, Laura!

    Like the fact that there’s less ingredients. I noticed you didn’t use citric acid. Other videos say that’s what makes the fizz. And I used the scented Epsom salts so I didn’t use an essential oil. Also why does the bowl have to be glass? Because plastic grabs color? I used food color and hope my shower doesn’t stain.

    I have tried many recipes for shower melts with essential oils and I have used sooo much oils in the recipe and never smelled anything in the shower or bath! You really need to use menthol crystals for an aromatherapy shower as they are stronger smelling

    Gonna try these again don’t fully remember what happened last time. The batch I made mustn’t have worked or else I’d 100% be making them since my last msg. But as I’ve got the ingredients, try try & hopefully success 🙏 🤪💞 will update u as I really can’t remember why it didn’t work last time 🤷‍♀️ xxx

    Great video 👏🙋💗 I was just this minute about to make some shower melts, . Have ordered & just awaiting these ingredients (Citric Acid, more baking soda, soap colourant & corn starch) but until delivery I was about to make some with just baking soda, 25 drops of Lavender essential oil, water & put them in moulds over night, then I watched ur video. Do u think my plan of the basic stuff would still work?

    Do have any recipes for these that don't use salt for those who are trying to avoid sodium. Even sodium topically can impact your blood pressure as 60% of what you put on top of your skin hits your blood stream. Perhaps the same recipe with sugar?

    • @ouroilyhouse
      @ouroilyhouse  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Severus Webber Hmmm I’ll have to try that, great idea! The salt doesn’t get on the skin much because they just stay on the floor of the shower and dissolve.

    Why use salt, especially the Himalayan, for the shower since it just goes down the drain. You can use corn starch for filler. Just seems like a waste of a good salt. Rather use in bath Bombs so it's actually utilized on the skin. Like the idea of the melts though.

    • @drob4544
      @drob4544 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can add citric acid for fizzy and corn starch for filler. It'suppose to melt faster in the tub because you are immersed in it and want the full treatment
